| Nah, i wouldnt think altitude would make a difference, all though i guess it is possible to feel light headed if there is less oxygen and that combined with the weed could make the illusion of being higher but thats a pretty long shot there so i say bring the same amount. |

| Hmm this is a tough one, umm thread moved to General Topics for now, if someone sees this and has a better idea please move it elsewhere. As for an answer i have no clue if you get higher the higher up you are, but i do know it would be incredible smoking a joint and taking in some incredible sights from the top of a mountain. | To answer your question - yes. I just got back from up in the Rockies for T-Givin', and although I am at around 5500 ft. normally, the trip up to 10,000 ft. is still quite something. Even ciggs can knock you off your ass. While I was up there I shared 1 (yes, one) joint with a friend and we (yes, between the two of us) barely got through *half* of it before we could barely speak or walk. I love the high highs. Even going up to lesser altitudes (like weekend trips up in the mountains), say around 8,000 ft, it is noticeable. Be careful of Altitude Sickness too - I have seen it sneak up on people year after year. Drink 3-4 times the amount of water you normally do and also eat more carbs, since your body is going to be working harder just to do its normal thang. | |

| I will agree that I have been with people that don't notice a thing, but there is an unavoidable change taking place. As soon as you get up there and your body realizes that it's getting much less oxygen per breath, it starts to make more blood. This is one of the main reasons (the most important) as to why you have to drink tons more water, because it is used in the production of the new blood. For many (I'd say most here) this has quite the effect on the body and its reactions to drugs, be it mj, alcohol, or OTC stuff. For me and my friends, it's a big change. Now, when I go back to the East Coast, it is nearly impossible for me to get intoxicated from alcohol - a 12 pack does next to nothing - even tho here 4 or 5 pints at a bar has me on my ass. Same goes for ciggs and also even stuff like aspirin. Depending on the duration of your stay, you will probably experience different levels of this change, possibly even small enough to ignore if you aren't looking for it, but it is quite a stress on your body, so factors like mild exhaustion, dehydration and stress on your respiratory and circulatory systems will play a role in your reaction to any drug you ingest. But, the most important part - enjoy the trip! ![]() | |

| I live at about 6,500 ft in Colorado and when we take trips up to the 14'ers (peaks above 14,000) you can defiantly tell the difference. Now maybe it's the hike up that does it but we get totally wasted and have to wait until we sober up a little before we start back down. Just about 1 joint does 4 of us in for a few hours. It's not like that when I’m at home. ![]() St0ney
