Hey all,
I've been wanting to take a break from pot for a little while, I'm just in that kind of mood, and due to an upcoming drug test sometime in the neighborhood of July, I figured why not stop now. It's a long ways away but the test may actually be in June. It won't be a surprise test, I'll have 1-2 weeks notice. But since I'm a regular smoker (now vaper, actually), let the cleansing start now. Been getting high pretty much daily for at least the past 5-6 months.

I've been abstinent for 48 hours, which for me is the hardest part, just getting over those first two days. Now I feel fine.

Me: 5'10", about 195 lbs, muscular but with a bit of pudge, workout about twice weekly with 5000 meters of rowing on an ergometer.

Anyway, I have a bunch of these home single-panel THC drug screens from eBay, (example) 50 ng/ml cutoff. I took one today and of course I failed it. I'll be testing every 7 days hereafter (I only have 7 tests left) to see when I get clean.

Just thought I'd start this thread now and I can add to it intermittently as I test.

Day 6, I was bored, really had to pee, figured I'd see if I could be that miracle boy who could test clean in only 6 days.
Not me.
Looks like I'm in for the long haul. Next home test date: 4/17

EDIT: Wait just a second...three minutes later (about 4 to 5 minutes after dipping urine), an extremely faint but definite line in the THC marking. Granted, not my first urine of the day (likely my last), but this is encouraging indeed.
Next test date changed to 4/14, morning.
Talk amongst yourselves....

Singlepanel, just like in the picture-link in my first post in this thread. It's cheap, just 2 bucks per test, I ordered them in bulk from ebay, 20 bucks for 10.

Yay buddy ! I'm glad this is turning out to be a game for you; as humor is about the only way to put aside the withdrawls, simply for the sake of making us laugh. So how sit coming so far man? I think my post is a bit slow, but then again; so are my reaction times at points.

Any further progress, feelings, blah?

I'm at day 8 clean now, and really, doing fine. Once I pass the first two days I'm fine. Would I like to bust out the vape and take a nice long, slow pull? That would have to be a yes. But it's surprising how quickly the psychological pull weakens once I get past two days. So, I still plan to test Friday morning, first pee of the day. Both yesterday and the day before I had very faint, but definite, lines at the THC position, very encouraging.
Again, I probably am not looking at a test until July. If I can be clean by 4/20, which I very well may be after just 16 days, surprising given my chronicity, I shall celebrate 4/20/2006 in style! Just once though. Then it's back to my new (temporary) straight-arrow routine.

Yesterday and the day before I tested in the mid afternoon and passed both times. The THC line was faint but definitely there.
This morning, first pee of the day, which obviuosly looked and even smelled more concentrated, as it should be, and I failed. Not too surprising.
Then again, who tests with their first pee of the day anyway?
Question out there for sec3 or anyone else...
when going for a test, we always talk about how even a faint THC line is a passing test, but it can be very subjective sometimes. Do the testers really scrutinize the test card for that faint line, or are they more likely still to call a very faint THC line a failure? A lot rides on these tests.
Anyway, the quest goes on. Only 10 days clean now, didn't really expect to be clean by now anyway.

Okay, what can I say? Well, I can say this.
4/14 was ten days sober.
On 4/14, 4/15, and 4/17 I took a couple of vape hits.
(Remember, test not until July)
However, the quest for knowledge goes on.
Still counting 4/4/06 as day zero. Clearly I may extend my time-until-clean by a few days with my recent vaporizer acrobatics, so when I get there, we just have to keep that in mind. If anything, this will make the final result of the study an even more conservative estimate, since I'd be clean a bit earlier had I not indulged this weekend.
