Hey everybody! Don't make fun of me cause I'm still new to Marijuana- I've only been smoking since October 2005. Anyway, I'm 18 Years old and I'm a Senior in HS and I had a question. Just to let everybody know I smoke at least 3 times a week too . Tuesday night of this week I smoked 4 entire bowls with me and my friend, which means I smoked about 2 whole bowls myself. I got pretty high, turned on a trippy CD, relaxed, stared around the room and all the good stuff. Then, I went to sleep. Usually after I wake up after smoking I feel actually refreshed. There is always the little "Wow" feeling afterwards when my head is clear and when I look back on what happened and stuff. But Wednesday morning when I woke up I couldn't even lift my head. I was feeling very feverish in school the day before, but thought nothing of it. My throat was very sore and I did indeed have a high fever Wednesday morning. Strep troat symptoms, but just a nasty virus going around. Tonight me and some friends want to go and smoke (you can get back to me later because I still want to know what is going on...) and I was wondering if I could smoke with a sore throat. Would it hurt my thoart worse? And plus after being all sick like that my "appetite" for Marijuana has greatly decresed... It's kind of like Chinese food, once you get sick on it like throw it up you really don't want to eat it again.

So basically here are my questions:
Will smoking hurt my really red achey sore throat worse or should I hold off for a few days?

Did smoking cause me too get that sick or was it just the virus?

Can Marijuana even get you sick like that (I highly doubt this)?

Why can't I get my "Marijuana Appetite" back? I want to smoke but it's not the same after getting sick the morning after smoking a whole lot.

During the time I was sick (and I still am feeling kind of ill) I kind of still felt my high...it was very awkward-- which brings me on to my next topic- How long do all of your highs last?

Mine felt like 3 Days with being sick (but it was probably just the fever)! Hope y'all can help I appreciate it don't laugh at me I know I have very little knowledge on MJ!

You got sick but not from smoking Cannabis. Coincidences happen and it just so happened that you got some kind of a "bug" that laid you low. Your Cannabis appetite is suppressed because you are still sick. Smoking is an irritant to the throat at any time and smoking while you are suffering from a sore throat is going to compound the irritation. Take a break from the smoke, get well, and your appetite will return... or not.

Smoking will further irritate your sore throat and you should hold off until it's all better.

I've heard of people getting sore throats from smoking too much (vape or eat it instead). Some people throw up if they smoke too much. Other than that, no.


Your body is telling you what it wants.


From smoking or vaping, a couple of hours. From eating, six to eight hours.


It all depends on the size of the bowls and the potency of the weed.

Everythingisfun; thats not good, not good in the least bit. You go blind for ten minutes and have to crawl around because red and green clouds fog your vision?
You may want to consider sobering up for awhile, or seeking professional help.

It could be anything as silly as you staring at your lighter everytime you light it, or as serious as a mental illness, which is causing hallucinations. I'm just an 18 year old, so dont flame me if my information is incorrect; I'm merely assuming that what you say is indeed true, and that you're being blinded by something.

As far as I know, i've NEVER <--- stress the big wordage there EVER EVER heard of or seen for that matter, anyone losing sight to big thick clouds of color.

Maybe its time to reevaluate your surrondings..such as your guy. laced marijuana may be able to do that but; its obviously not the weed itself because you stated it "when im smoking SOMETIMES" it happens.

Well,I remember my Ecology teacher telling me that when you have a high heart rate you can see spots and ect so since marijuana increases the heart rate maybe this is the reason?
