Question 1.
i have some bud that I want to brew in tea. How much bud/oz(US standard) should i use? how much does it affect people? is it similar to smoking? or enough that you'd wanna stay inside and sitting down for awhile?

Question 2.

my eyes have been red for four days straight and using eye drops have little to no affects. in the mornings they're a little better but not much i had taken a month haitus from the herb before the onset of major red eye. but on the other hand allergy season is starting to hit hard. i'm not one to usually have allergies. any thoughts?

Not sure about the tea, pretty sure u need a fat or alcohol for it to mix with. The eye, probally an eye infection, got something in it, if its blood red. Also by an off chance it could be a parasite, saw it on tv once, thought he had an eye infection, either way, best to be on the safe side and visit a doctor

Making tea from cannabis is a common practice in Jamaica. It is not, however, the most efficient use of expensive bud. THC is not very water soluble, so the a lot of the goodness would get wasted. Cooling marijuana in fats or oils extracts the cannabinoids much more effectively.

Marijuana gives you red eyes for two reasons. The THC itself causes the capillaries in the eye to dilate, creating the red appearance. Eyes might also get red from smoke irritation. These effects are usually very short-term. If the red-eye is chronic (and you're not smoking all the time) the cause is probably something else.

I think I can answer question 1. There is no standard, because it is highly likely that the bud you have and the bud someone else has is completely different in all aspects including potency and effects. Even if one could come up with a standard for a particular strain, it wouldn't be accurate because how well it is grown is a huge factor, too.

Water is ineffective at extracting cannabinoids. Refer to how bubble hash is made - it uses water to filter out the impurities, which soak into the water, and leaving the wanted stuff behind to scrape off and ball up.

If you want to drink your bud in some form, you wont do it effectively using water. Now refer to how the natives do it in Far East India.

The original way is probably the best way. The people in the Far East (India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, etc.) make a drink called "bhang". It consists of liquids that are really good at absorbing the stuff out of flower buds that will force you to sit down awhile. Far East Indian "Bhang" uses milk (which is fatty) and some type of strong clear alcohol, as its main ingredients.

I suggest you forget about "cannabis tea" using water and look up "bhang" and go from there.

"Chai spice tea" is a lot closer to "bhang" than anything else out there, because it uses milk.

You can develop an allergy at any time. With all the pollen floating around out there, I wouldn't be surprised.

but dude...if ur allergic to pollen shouldn't u avoid smoking weed?

When you're allergic to pollen, its for a specific type of pollen, for example pine tree pollen. Most people aren't allergic to weed.

"weed" as in cannabis is the dried FEMALE flower ...females don't have pollen ...


...see... pollen is encapsulated spermatozoa ...ergo from male plants.
