sore throat high azz fever

Im Aaron and this is my first post. I've been smoking pot for about 7 months now but wasn't serious about it. Just did it occasionaly with a bunch of friends. But one night i smoked about 2 good bowls and felt pretty damn good. The next morning, BAM i had a pretty bad fever and i had a bad sore throat. I had an infection on my tonsil and couple of friends told me cigarettes and marijuana can cause this. Is this true? cuz i hate getting sick but i like pot haha

Human beings didn't evolve to breath smoke. It's hot and it's irritating. When skin is burned/irritated that makes it more open to infection. You shouldn't smoke until your throat is completely healed. Then find cooler ways to smoke. Mixing in room air around a joint of pipestem will do that. A bubbler will do that.

For the ultimate in non-irritation, get a vaporizer. The weed doesn't burn, there's no smoke, and your stash stretches a lot further.

Irratation, yes, burned throat?, possibly but not likely unless ur just smoking the flame and nothing else(ex. when the bowl is cashed) but he also said he had a high ass fever, so im thinking someone else that he was sharing a bowl with, could have had a flu or something like that, and sahn just caught the flu from them... or... i have a question were u partying outside or anything like that?
cause i partied hard on saturday night and forgot my jacket and we were all over outside and houses and shit, but when i woke up on monday i hadthis crazy ass sore throat( i think its strep throat, im actually going to the doctor in like 20 mins...) and other symptoms too but they dont bother me... but thats what i think about his situation.
