| First post. Interesting board you've got here. I'm a middle-aged guy who has been smoking probably since before most of you were born. I smoke only a few nights a week, couple of bongs to relax and I'm good. I've been doing this for decades and have only recently begun to notice that I feel lethargic and foggy the day after I toke. At first I thought it must be the weed, which is always top quality, but I've started samplying different brands and find the next-day effect to be the same. My question is this: Aree there any supplements or is there a regime I could follow to sort of clean the buzz out of my brain so that I don't want to fall asleep at my desk the next day? I don't want to give up weed, but for the first time in 30 years it's beginning to affect my work. Thanks muchly. |

| You've got less than ten years on me. When I have stash, I smoke daily. I'm fortunate enough to work from home, so when I'm in 'the office', I can stay stoned all day. The only drawback is that it burns through my stash pretty quickly. (Pun intended) I've noticed that I get the morning fog sometimes, but it depends on what I've smoked, how much I've smoked and how much sleep I got. Usualy if i sleep more than my standard 7hrs/night, I feel all groggy, even if I didn't toke the night before. The 'pot hangover' worsens this, as you'd expect. I get over it pretty quickly with a couple cups of coffee and a shower. One other thing that I do is smoke in spurts. I'll get a stash (usually 1/2 or full oz), smoke it up, and then lay off for a period of time. For example I'm going to get 1/2oz soon. I'll burn through that and I will probably go most of the summer without because my daughter will be here. I'll get some more in time for my birthday (the same day my daughter goes back to her mom) and I'll have a party then. The 'rest periods' also bring the tolerance level back down, as well. |

| And from a (relative) youngblood... ![]() Are you going to sleep while you're still high? For some this is necessary to sleep well, but ever since I started smoking in college right up through the present day, (11 years later), I've realized that I like to be sober (or almost sober) before bedtime if I don't want to feel like crap the next morning. I think 1toke may be on to something. Our bodies, our chemistry...they are dynamic beings. What you could do yesterday you may not be able to handle today. Our bodies change, your body may be trying to tell you that it's reacting to smoking a bit differently than before.

| I've noticed that if I smoke before bed, it's vital that I get a full nights rest (aka, no alarm) if I don't want to feel "foggy" in the morning. It hasn't always been this way, but lately it's becoming more and more noticeable. |
