Smokey McPot

Me and one of my friends were smoking tonight and watching Outdoor Life Network, where they had people mountain-climbing. He said that they were crazy, I said it'd be pretty cool to do that. And as a reward to myself, I'd smoke a big fat joint when I get to the top of the mountain. He said you couldn't do that because your heart would explode from the pressure. Then he said that hot tubs were similar because of the hot water, and that there's been cases of people having heart attacks from smoking in hot tubs. I was wondering if anyone else heard about this. I was concerned because for about a week this summer, I smoked in my hot tub several times a day.

ya right man, i really doubt that. Smoking in a hot tub is pretty much the most relaxing moment in life, except ofcourse after a certain sheet rumbling activity The jets just send me into a different world. I would highly recommend doing it, unless ofcourse it's proven to kill you.

Don't think you have to worry about it. And don't worry about climbing those mountains, either...i used to live in Colorado, and would reward myself with a nice toke at the top of a couple 14,000 ft peaks i was ambitious enough to hike up, and my heart hasn't exploded yet.

The problem with extremely high mountains (25,000 ft+) is people tend to go a little crazy twoards the top, due to a lack of fresh oxygen supply to the brain. A hot tub simply relaxes your body, thus increasing the size of your veins and arteries. I'm pretty sure tHC won't make your heart explode in either instances

the hot water will probably relax your muscles, and open your blood vessels up. This would probably be better for you, since the heart rate is raised while high, and the more open the blood vessels, the lower the blood pressure.

I've bathed while high, and it was great, so I'd say your only mortal danger here is having too good a time.

I spent the whole weekend smoking in a hot tub... unless the alcohol has some marvelous heart building properties, I think that your myth is nothing but that. ;-)
The biggest danger from smoking a joint in a hot tub is dropping your joint. Then you have wet weed with chlorine all over it ;-p

Well, good to hear all this. I never felt any harm from smoking in my hot tub, but ya never know.

I know this is a little off-topic, but aren't the effects of alcohol greatly amplified in a hot tub?
