A friend of mine and I got into an argument the other day about drinking bongwater. She said that drinking the bong water won't get you high. She said that THC doesn't get caught in the water, so all you are drinking are the other biproducts. Is this true?

THC is not water soluble(sp?), so all that its in the water is the crap stuff you dont want to smoke.
i know a guy that puts vodka insted of water and drinks it, pretty grosse, bong water reeks!

Seriously people - sit down, take a good look, and never talk about drinking bongwater again. It's repulsive. I mean, consider eating the filter on a cigarette after smoking it (same idea) - it's gross.

Or... at least take it to the next level. Bottle the crap and put it in mason jars on a shelf and label the vintages. "Oh, yes, the 3 footer bong vineyards - they did great work in the summer of '99. Working with full crops of only the finest blueberry endo. Full bodied, fruity, and only medium nausea. Mind the aftertaste!"

I don't want to drink it. I simply want to know if drinking it would get you high.

bong water conniseurs... hmmm... perhaps an idea?

and to ross - if it gets u any higher, its the placebo effect
sure, if u think itll get u higher, it probably will feel like it
but there shouldnt be any reason why whatever is filtered out by bongs will get one a better buzz then just smoking and tossing the water . . . in my case, if i was ever to try bong water, id think that it would actually kill my buzz rather then help in any way

Dont feel bad.
When I was at school (manymoons ago)
My friends used to tell us the bongwater got you wasted.
Its a common "myth" amongst younger smokers.

Any many people have tried it, and continue to do so.
