| Im an asthmatic and ive looked it up on a lot of websites and it is a bronchodilator. There are scientists actually testing out new meds for asthma that have thc in them. I smoke a little when im having problems and it does seem to help. |

| I have Asthma, and vaporizing has not cured it, but it has helped me breathe better by NOT smoking.

| I still have asthma myself, i know that it cant be cured, but i started smoking when i was 18, and I'm now 25, I havent had an asthma attack since, I never really went to the hospital or anythin because of it, but there was nights i remember being 16 or 17 where i would wake up and I couldnt breathe for sh1t. I used to use my inhaler maybe 10 times a week, and since then I've prolly used it 10 times only since i started smoking, my asthma is hereditary as well. It runs big on my family, my sister takes all kinds of pills for it, singulair, and two other ones, + inhaler. I maybe use her inhaler once every two months, and only on weather changes really. It's a proven fact for me. I don't smoke any cigarettes either, sum smokers think that its the actual smoke causing it, but its cause they smoke cigs and buds. Trust me its not the buds , I do get a lot of phlegm in the morning though, and that sucks. |

It's a combo of both really. Any air that isn't clear is going to irritate your lungs.. I have asthma and I smoke cigarettes and weed (smart, eh? ), and when I just smoke weed it's just as bad. | |

| Marijuana is actually a natural bronchodilator. This means that it has anti asthmatic properties because it helps the lungs open up more. however, because of the smoke in smoked marijuana this can be counter productive. While the THC is dilating your airways the smoke is irritating the lungs even more. In order to reap the benefits of THC bronchodilation you must either take VERY small hits, or use a vaporizer. I had a friend once with asthma and i made the mistake of setting them up with a huge hit from a harsh hitting steam roller and it induced an asthma attack within them. However, i made sure the next time we smoked that she took very small hits consecutively to avoid the irritation that could trigger an attack, and she turned out fine. Even better though is vaporizing. With this method you can actually achieve effects much the same as an inhaler. So for asthmatics i highly recommend a vaporizer, if not just make sure to take a bunch of small hits over time to get high, because the big rip might have an opposite effect. So asthmatics are safe if they be careful, but i would never recommend an asthmatic trying to take huge rips, it's just too much smoke in your lungs for the bronchodilation to be productive. Also asthmatics should stay away from low grade pot if they can because they will have to inhale more smoke to get high as opposed to a potent one hit wonder strain.

| yes it is a bronchiodiolator (or w/e) and helps asthma, by opening up the tubes in your lungs to absorb the oxygen better. I think a better way to use marijuana to help asthma is to make some cannabis milk (using whole milk and boiling it in 4:1 ratio for 15 minutes) and adding that to some tea or your morning coffee. But if you wanna get stoned, add some chocolate syrup or flavoring to the milk and drink it plain.
