In places like the Netherlands, if you go to their coffee shops they could probably supply you with either a pure indica or a pure sativa strain based on their connection with marijuana growers/breeders because they know exactly where the pot is coming from.

From what I hear about dispensaries in California, they generally have several varieties available and will recommend one to you on the basis of your medical condition.

most of the time it is indica though but sativa is not excluded.

Does anybody know about averages in other places, and what about not MMJ? Or is there pretty much no way to find out without actually knowing the grower.

Most mj in america is indica as US as a whole. but where i live its marijuana majority but like 7 out of ten though. Mostly hydro and indoor premium in nyc.

Colder places its more common to see indica unless they grow indoors. Sativa in hot places usually like mexico hence the term marijuana meaning cannabis sativa in spanish. But usually its easy to get both from your dealer if you live in a big city. In country and most suburban its hard to find different varieties. Thank the dear lord i live in the big apple .

Btw ny is really hot in the summer and really cold in the winter (weird), so i dont know why sativa is more, probably just customer demand.

So most likely since I live in San Diego, I'm getting sativa? Since it is so close to Mexico? I wonder then if when I lived in Michigan I got indica? I don't really notice too much of a difference. Right now someone gave me some medical use stuff and it rocks! Can't wait untill I get my qualification.

I live in the suburbs but years ago when my father was getting pot, his supplier would get it from New York and the strains were not from this country, the pot was pure sativa from South America. I'm assuming that the pot was smuggled in on the ships that would come into the New York harbor. To me that would make sense, especially when we're talkin 1970s-80's when a lot of pot was still bein imported from tropical places such as Colombia which is where the strain colombian gold originated from.

Are you sure theres not a little percentage of indica? It's possible you could have pot that's 20% indica and 80% sativa and you would feel more of the effects of the sativa side and it would be the other way around if it's 20% sativa and mostly indica.

With my dealer it's not hard for him to get different strains, but the only thing he doesn't know is indica or sativa or the percentage of it, but i know he will never get pure sativa because of where the pot comes from.

Most place do carry both, but most just basis it off either "bomb" or not. the bombest is usally indico.
