| Yesterday, while I was smoking some shwagg out of my 4-inch glass pipe, I started to experience discomfort in the back of my mouth behind my soft palate on the left side. It was after I took a big hit, and the smoke seemed pretty hot. After that, I went to the beach for a couple hours where it was really windy, cold, and dry. This was the first day it was cold and dry, so my body may not have had enough time to adapt to the new winter weather. Now, the day after, there is still pain behind my soft palate, and during the night there was some blood in the mucus that was forming back there. Also, I get flashes of pain in my left ear and the back of my head on the left side. I feel all around ****ty and don't have any energy. Has anybody else ever had this kind of thing happen to them? Any wisdom that can be shed on this would be most appreciated. Thanks! p.s. No need to post suggestions that I use a bong or smoke it differently to make it cooler...i've already decided to do that. Also, I'm going to try some green tea that i read about in another thread. | |

| Yeah...inflamation of the sinuses and the adenoids...you are fighting off a bug...possibley the flu. YOu know trhe drill: Plenty of rest, plenty of warm liquids (might I suggest twig tea and chicken soup?) Tylenol, Advil, etc for the fever (what fever you ask? ...just wait...it's coming I'm afraid) And take soemthing to keep your nose from pourign phlegm into your chest, and something to keep your chest from getting congested. You are probably in for 7 lousy days... ~ have a cookie and hope you feel better soon It's flu season folks...take care of yourselves Hugz Mama Budz | |

| Thanks for the replies. You're right about the fever, Mama. Twig tea...lol....good idea. What do you guys think about using weed while I have this? I wouldn't smoke it, I would use my Eterra vaporizer. But, do you think the dry-throat caused by the weed could actually make the symptoms worse? My sinuses would get more dried out, and mucus-production would be effected. Thanks for the help | |

| Although an excellent bronchial dilator, it does increase mucous production which you want to avoid. Using cannabis in a steamer is difficult -- at least this Mama hasn't yet figured a decent way to deliver the medication using cold steam or hot steam and the addition of camphor or mint to open the sinuses. The tea does seem to help though -- personally I think it is the large dose of anti-oxidant that is found in cannabis tea (more than in reen tea or any other known teas!) Take care of yourself and remeber to stay hydrated. | |
