I just got my wisdom teeth taken out today. It hurts really bad so the doctor gives me Viciton, a pain killer, but because my parents couldn't get my perscription in time, i couldn't deal with the pain, so i smoked 2 bowls and fell right to sleep. did i do something wrong or is this healthy or wat?

If i recall from when I had mine out that the sucking action invovled in smoking isn't good. Other than that, you shouldn't have a problem. I would be wary of smoking while on the vicodin, though.

It's been told to me by the dentist several times that the sucking action to get the smoke in is bad.Also,mixing can bring on a much more intense buzz,but this goes for alcohol too.
Also this,you have just had surgery,and have a open wound on your body that is quite deep.The chance of bacterial infection is higher,so make sure to keep it clean and free of those fine particles of herb....

Last december when I had my wisdom teeth out, I got a vaporizer so I could still partake. I was too woried about an infection or inflammation from the smoke. I suggest you gargle with warm salt water after smoking....which you should be doing a few times a day anyhow for the first week or so.

as for the THC, it is my understanding that since THC is not a drug in the traditional sense, it wont have any reaction.

Not a traditional drug meaning it reaches brain sensors directly. It does not change the chemical structure of the brain, just binds to the recoptor sights.

Although I find herb to be great for pain or a sore stomach, I would lay off it for awhile after surgery, especially in your mouth. You just never know what could happen, plus it could mix with all those other drugs they gave you. Another reason I want legalization is so I can use marijuana medicinally (just for random stuff you couldn't get a perscription for anyway). If I can, I take a few hits to ease a sore stomach, it works better than anything else I've tried. I'd recommend it to anyone whose had a few too many munchies

Ive doubled up a couple of times already, about 4 and its been a total body and head high, but now im worried if its messing my brain up because ive never been this high before. its kinda scary once i look back at it. its just i thought that weed was good for you.

Weed does harm do some harm to your body, but it is minor compared to other substances. In your case it wouldn't be the weed but the fact that you are smoking something that would be bad.

And the extra high feeling is just the weed mixing with the vicodin. A lot of people like to mix vicodin, and other pharmies, with alcohol. It probably says on the bottle "do not drink alcohol." Thats because it gets you real ****ed up. I've never done that myself because it makes it alot easier to overdose. I was at a festival where 3 people overdosed mixing alcohol with pharmies. They all lived but a fourth person didn't. He was shooting up. I don't think you'd get anywhere near that point with weed an vicodin. Just don't pop like 8 pills and smoke bowl. If you don't like mxing them, then don't. Its not messing your brain up, you're just high and on painkillers. It will go away when you stop taking the painkillers.

DO NOT:

Do not mix vicodin with any other medication (prescription or herbal) That includes weed. While there are no reported deaths du to weed use in recorded history, there are deaths associated with vicodin and other intoxicants. Don't become a statistic.

Do not smoke or suck through a straw as this might casue a painful condition known as dry socket whichis the wound healing incorrectly requiring additional dental work to be performed (from minor to major depending on the severity)

Do not take Aspiring, Advil, Ibuprofen, Alleve as they will slow down the healing process and will effect how quickly your blood coagulates (stops oozing from the wound)

DO!:

Drink plenty of liquids, especially water. They aid healing and will help flush out the over medication in your body.

Try to get some minor physical exercise tomorrow (walk around the house, or the block...then rest for a few hours...then walk again...) You need to keep your blood flow moving with the vicodin in your system. Along with the water, it will allow the vicodins pain killer to work well , but be moved through your system at a good pace and not be stored in your muscles and fat cells, you can feel sluggish from this pain killer for awhile after taking it if it allowed to "pool".

You didn't do anything detrimental smoking weed as a painkiller. The only problem was smoking it. And combining weed with vicodin (or anything with vicodin in particular) is a ::
