can one of you ppl explain how smoking weed effects memory (perhaps the next day or couple of days after you smoked)? i want to smoke every fridays but im afraid of short term memory so wen i study it will be a waste of time. so whats the real deal with weed? i have been reading couple posts and now it is saying that it actualy does kill braincells but people are just denying the fact because doctors do not have solid evidence. Is it inevitable to have short term memory if your a occasional smoker?

i have problems with short-term memory when i'm stoned but not when i am not stoned. but the way i look at it is, if i forgot about it, it probebly wasn't something important to begin with. i have yet to forget something that was important stoned or not and i've been smoking for almost 2 years. if you do forget something, most likely you'll remember it pretty soon after you forgot it. just my opinion tho, it could be different for everyone.

You should be fine if you're only smoking once a week...maybe if you smoked every friday for 50 years would you start to notice some memory loss (you'd be so old it wouldn't matter anyways)

I dont think u should worry about that, ive been smoking for almost three years and dont have any short term memory loss

I'll have to admit I've got a bit of short term memory loss. I've smoked for a year now...mostly on weekends, every once and a while on the week days. Honestly I have noticed I'll be in a conversation and forget what I was going to say next so I'll say "um..." or I'll forget what I was getting ready to talk about. This does happen sometimes when I'm high, but I've noticed it days after smoking...it's kind of annoying at times, but it hasn't become a major thing...only the people I smoke with notice it...i think, i hope.
