| Maybe someone can help me..... I have been smoking marijuana almost every day for over 2 years now. I experienced what I believe as a panic attack for the first time a year ago. I was sitting on the couch after smoking my usual amount, and my heart started to pound so hard and fast you could feel it through my back. I felt dizzy and panicked and thought something was seriously wrong with me. I sat at the hospital waiting room not knowing what was happening, but eventually managed to convince myself it was nothing. I had this happen a few times since then, and thought maybe it only happened when i smoked swag. Well i only smoke chron now and it hadn’t happened in almost a year. I know this is probably unlikely, but maybe it was mental? Recently though after a few good rips, my heart has started to race along with the feeling of dizzyness, weakness, lightheadedness and almost wanting to faint. My arms and legs would get num and I would shake uncontrollably. But at the same time, I would be of sound mind, and not in a panicked state. I would try to eat and just tell myself that I’m being stupid, its anxiety, but nothing will let the shaking stop until my high goes away. I hate the feeling and have considered quitting all together. I have never felt like I was one to feel anxious or panicked, but my sister passed away from an overdose of drugs right before I started to drink, smoke and experiment with other drugs. Am I really just having a panic attack? If so, what can I do to help this? Is there any way that this might be related to heart problems (that my sister also had)? |

? Me, I smoke it because I am slightly bi-polar and weed keeps me on an even keel. Zoloft is not good Cannabis is much better and the amount that I grow is plenty for me. And I have accepted the assumed risk of growing So paranoid thoughts are very rare for me. Back to you. Couple more questions would be, if you can remember, what are you thinking about at the time of you getting high that instance? How long prior had you smoked that day? Did you have food in your stomach ? All of the afore things mentioned will affect how high you get and if you are paranoid about smoking then the effect will only intensify when you are high Quote:
![]() I have experienced these same feelings, but it was always self induced, and it was generally a feeling of getting caught , because I was doing something illegal. I'm not saying that's your case, just something to think about. It helps when you are trying to analyze something to make sure you looking at it objectively. I know I was talking myself into thinking it was or something else making me feel like that and it was me This is just my experience. I'm not saying it applies to you. Quote:

| Marijuana speeds up your heart rate, in the first while after you smoke, just like sports do.

Rather than unlikely, this is very likely. Marijuana does increase your heart rate, but you tend to not notice it if you are distracted by something, or stimulated by any given activity. Panic attacks happen to a large group of people, usually early on in their relationship with marijuana. But the problem is that after you have a panic attack, you are still thinking about it, and expecting it, the next time you blaze. Take a break for a while, emotionally and mentally prepare yourself, and you will probably not have to quit altogether. | |

| Adderall is strong, strong stuff. 30mgs is also a good sized dose. Personally, I'm agreeing with the good posts above by NewgrowerNY ; stay organic, and if you aren't comfortable sober then don't risk getting stoned and freaking out again. Also, the Buzzby theory of moderation works AWESOME, particularly for wake and bakes, or if you just aren't used to smoking a lot. Take a hit, wait 15 minutes, if you feel like you need another hit, take it and wait again. Best of luck. |

| Ok......after researching and reading responses, I've realized that I must have had a self-induced panic attack. Anxiety and confusion along with other factors like stress, lack of food and maybe a helleva bong rip seem to be a toxic combination to bring demons to the surface. I've since cut back on my dayly intake and plan on getting a vaporizer soon. I've learned to only smoke when I'm not mentally exhausted or at least in a good mind-set or comfortable environment. I loved getting high, but those few times of feeling panicked and not in control of your body was not worth it. As far as dabbeling in other drugs...that doesn't apply anymore, and hasn't for a good while (Ppl do some weird things when they no longer want to feel, if u can imagine what i'm saying). I really appreciate everyone's responses... Happy chief'n |
