| Hi, I'm new. I know I'm gonna sound like such a rookie to you guys that it's almost embarassing to write this... I registered because of this problem I'm having. It's been addressed on this forum before... A while back there was a thread made by a kid who was on a multiple day weed high, this guy named Johny or something told him about this diet that helped him out of it. I have a similar problem. I smoked weed on Saturday night, and I'm still feeling the effects. I'm dizzy, slow, and very very out of it. I keep getting this feeling that I only get when I'm stoned, so that's how I know this is happening because of the weed. And no, there's absolutely NO way it was laced. Cuz the guy I smoked with is heavy into canibus. And I've talked to him since and he's fine. I'm pretty new to weed. I've only been high several times and it was off of ditch weed. So I was with a buddy on Saturday night, and I had bought a little bit of weed from him. So we went around clippin for about a half hour, and I only took 3 hits off the chillum. I was like instantly blazed, and it was a lot more powerful than I was used to. This was my first ever time smoking real skunk weed. Before this I'd only smoked shit weed... So I killed a few hours while high before I went home. Then I went to bed. When I woke up I still felt high. And it's been that way since. It's gotten a little better, but not much. I've been trying to stick to the diet the Johnny guy outlined in his post (eating vegetables a lot, drinking a lot of water, etc.) but it's not working yet. I know this will eventually go away, for a day I was terrified that I'd be like this for the rest of my life or that I was going crazy. I realize that that's not true now, but I really wanna get back to normal soon. So I'm asking you guys, who are obviously very experienced to help me out, tell me how to get rid of this. Also, I might wanna continue smoking weed after this goes away, is that a bad idea? I'd greatly appreciate any advice, thanks. |

| I've got some, uhh... bad news. The first time I smoked was nine years ago. I've smoked maybe a dozen times since then. I've never come *completely* down. I still had a faint dreamlike feeling the next day, and the next day, and the next day... I've just learned to live with it. Sorry, man. |

| Sometimes when we overindulged anything we can feel the aftereffects for several days afterwards. I personally have had the same effects you speak of from alcohol. Being a new smoker is easy as long as you remember the first rule of smoking....moderation. Yes, the effect will fade, but it may take a day or two. But remember that you became this way from smoking too much too quick.......Little hits can have huge effects. Ease into it. Nobody starts out perfect at it, now do they? | What you're experiencing has nothing to do with marijuana, or, at least, not with the effects of the chemicals in marijuana. We hear this story several times a year. The cause is entirely psychosomatic. The direct effects of marijuana wear off after eight hours if you smoke or vape, a bit longer if you eat it. I never had it happen with marijuana, but many years ago I took a psychedelic and felt like I was high for four days. What happens is you learn a new way of looking at things and you can employ that new way when you're not under the influence of a drug. There used to be a lot of talk about "acid flashbacks". Same phenomena - a new mode of consciousness without the trigger of a drug. Take a cold shower. Go out and roll in the snow. Get really, really angry about something. All three of those have snapped me out of similar states of consciousness.

You're abosolutely right. Last night I just stopped thinknig about it, and it instantly went away and I feel perfectly fine. But Buzz, I'm probably gonna smoke the skunk I bought tomorow night and I wanna know how to not have this happen again? Is there a way I can maybe build up more of a tolerence?

One problem common to newbees is that they smoke right to the point where they say, "Any more would be too much." Of course, that means they've already had too much (for their personal comfort) because they haven't felt the full effects of the last ten tokes. Quote:
The Tolerance Factor Your multi-day "high" had nothing to do with low tolerance. With low tolerance you get higher on the same amount of weed but the effects don't last much longer.

Yea that makes good sense for me, Ever sense I first smoked it seemed like everything was different but it was just the fact that at the point my views on life change immediate so it was something that I didn't bring on slowly if that makes sense?
