| Yes, we as patients are so fortunate to have access (theoretical?) to many different cannabis strains. As study after study continues to show, Marihuana is in fact effective in mitigating so many of the maladies that plague us. So here is the question – How do we really know what we are getting when we make a purchase at a given dispensary/co-op? We depend on the nature of a given strain to treat a given issue. Call it this, call it that – OK, but how do they know for sure? I understand that over time each person becomes more adept at their own ability to find what works best but this is just a generalization. Strain selection, growing methods and availability morph over the weeks and months. With the prices we are paying I believe that we should have accountability – transparency if you will… What are the methods by which dispensaries quality control that which they obtain from growers and sell to us? I’ve asked the question at a couple of locations and gotten no more than quick and vague assurances that they know what they are doing. So, how about it all you Co-ops (and growers) out there? Here’s your chance to shine and to further the cause – and our wellbeing - What are the facts behind your assurances?

I reiterate that we, who rely on cannabis for medical reasons, have every right and should be concerned about - what in fact may be going into our bodies on a regular basis - whether or not a strain that we pay for IS actually that stain? - under what kind of conditions were the plants were grown, i.e. organically or with pesticides? - so on and so forth... The dispensaries should be responsible to know and provide this information What's stopping you? | |
