Default Really weird symptom....

Well I've only been smoking for about 2 months now, and I really only do it occansionally (once or twice a week). I only smoke in an area I'm really comfortable with, and make sure I don't have anything to do for a few hours but chill. So I don't know why I would be nervous, or be having a panic attack if I feel completely fine up to smoking.

Anyways, after I smoke and the effect kicks in I start to get some massive twitches. It's not shaking, but split second twitches ranging from my torso to my legs. I asked my friend, who gets it from a clinic, if he knew anything about it. He was saying it could just be my body getting use to it, and that when he started smoking he use to get headaches afterwards.

It's just annoying because it happens EVERY time I smoke, and it's a dead giveaway to some people that I might be on something.

I feel fine, although it does feel like when I take a big rip my heart feels like it pumps faster, but I counted once just to make sure there wasn't any difference from when I was sober.

I'm just worried that it might be affecting me in a bad way. Any info would help, because all of my friends say they've never seen anything like that.

Maybe it's your conscience telling you that you shouldn't be smoking your friends "medicine".

Here is some misc. information for what it's worth -

Are there any other adverse reactions to marijuana?
A common bad reaction to marijuana is the "acute panic anxiety reaction." People describe this reaction as an extreme fear of "losing control," which causes panic. The symptoms usually disappear in a few hours.
How does marijuana affect the heart?
Marijuana use increases the heart rate as much as 50 percent, depending on the amount of THC. It can cause chest pain in people who have a poor blood supply to the heart - and it produces these effects more rapidly than tobacco smoke does.
Source: National Institute on Drug Abuse, 1984 (FYI - Note the date)

Within a few minutes after inhaling marijuana smoke, an individual's heart begins beating more rapidly, the bronchial passages relax and become enlarged, and blood vessels in the eyes expand, making the eyes look red. The heart rate, normally 70 to 80 beats per minute, may increase by 20 to 50 beats per minute or, in some cases, even double.15 This effect can be greater if other drugs are taken with marijuana.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Hope this helps - Keep a weather eye out

Do the twitches continue the whole time you're high or only when you first get high?

Well it takes about 10-15 minutes for me to feel the affect and that's when it starts to happen. It continues the entire time until the affect starts to get weaker. I've also noticed that when I'm doing something active, that the time between the twitches increase.

I don't know what it could be, and no it's not my conscience .

I assume this does not happen at any other time, just when you smoke?
If so, maybe it's an allergic reaction to that particular pot and you may want to try some from another source or just another strain altogether.
It seems though, that Caution! is in order. Those are not friendly symptoms. Once is one thing but should it continue I'd consult a doctor...

Yea, it is ONLY when I smoke. And I have smoked different kinds, because usually every time he buys a new type. I would be surprised if I was allergic or something, because to my knowledge I haven't been allergic to anything in my life.

I would love nothing more than to see a doctor about this, but still living with my mother who looks greatly down upon this I don't see how I could, unless there are clinics for this sort of thing.

There are, but ease of access depends on where you live.
So now, maybe you are up against a 'hard knock'. Take heed - why is it so important that you 'smoke'? if your overall health is in jeopardy? then stop and take a deep breath. There is so much information available to you vis-a-vie the net. It may not be what you want but life seems to suck that way sometimes. As us 'oldies but goodies' know so well - do the hard work, and you will be,undoubtedly, the better for it...

It might be something as innocuous as tense muscle fibers releasing their tension. It might be "Restless Leg Syndrome", a disease recently invented to sell a Parkinson's drug that wasn't moving very well.

According to the Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation web site, 10% of the American public suffers from RLS. OH NO!

BTW, 10% of the American public suffers from "Left Handedness Syndrome" (according to the Left Handedness Syndrome Foundation web site).

Incidentally, 10% of the American public suffers from "Same-Sex Preference Syndrome". 32% suffer from "Blue Eyes Syndrome". 49% suffer from "Excess Testosterone Syndrome".
