| It's funny... For the past two years I have smoked just about every day.. usually at night. I have noticed that over the past 2 years my dreams have been a big blur; I could never remember them. I haven't smoked in the last 2 and a half weeks and I already remember 2 dreams that I had. Is there some type of link there between marijuana and dreaming? |

| Its like your real life, man. For me, when i look back on my high, its kind of a big blurr, so it's just rolling over into your dreams, since dreaming is just your subconcious thinking about whats been going on that day/lately, it's all connected.

| i had a dream where i was stoned in the dream. I was so stoned i had strobed vision. I got on a boat and the boat crashed and started filling up with water an i ended up getting trapped and dying. It was friggin AWSOME!! most realistic dream ever. scared the crap outta me. it was so fun.

| Hm. Smoking doesn't really seem to affect my dreaming as much. I think it is because when I dream it is usually in the last part of my sleep so the effects of the weed have already worn off. I do normally smoke right before going to bed, it helps me relax and stop thinking about all the s*** happening in life, which in turn helps me sleep. Otherwise I toss and turn all night. So for me, even if I did forget my dreams it would be worth it in the sense that I get more sleep. I hope that makes sense in all my high rambling type rambling... ![]() | |

| You dream during specific parts of the sleep cycle, the lightest part or REM sleep. Reguardless of how much deep sleep you have, REM sleep is what makes you feel rested and refreshed. This is what a short power nap of about 20 minutes always feels so rejuvinated. You get the most bang for the buck on the first 20 minutes of sleep. The deeper sleeps are more for the body healing and mending itself. The REM sleep is when the brain shuts down various areas that controle memory and reason for repair. People deprived of REM sleep normally start to suffer from hallucinations and some other pretty nasty stuff. And can end up causing quite a bit of brain damage if you are deprived of it for to long. The end result, I theorize, is that the effects of marijuana have usually worn off by the end of the second dream cycle if you smoked right before you went to bed. Peace

| did you know the average human dreams about 7 times a night? yeah, bet ya didn't know that one. most people just can't remember the majority of their dreams. i remember usually at least 2 dreams a night, whether i smoke or not. when i was a kid, i had vicious nightmares like every night. i think i had/have an overactive imagination or some sh*t....
