Default Ok This has been bothering me...

I was a heavy smoker for about 5 years... strait everyday atleast an ounce a day... i was in the business so i had it at my disposal... so it was constant all dayy long... recently i would say about a year ago i had to stop... one day i got all blazed like usual and started to get these crazy crazy panic attacks... for some reason i had thought the bud was laced with acid.. EVEN knowing that it wasn't i continued to think it... so after that i thought maybe it was just going to be that one time i would feel that way... so i tried smoking probably about 10 other times after that and each time i would just start to get very paranoid and bug out... so i had to stop because i didnt think it was worth it anymore... NOW about a year later... i can smoke when i get very drunk.. maybe its because i am more at ease? i am not sure what the issue is... but you tend to miss smoking... anybody ever experience this? have any ideas what a cure could be? i used to love smoking all the different types of buds i would get from all over the US .. i am just curious someone please help hahaha I MISS MY BUDS!!!!

It appears that you have exceeded your lifetime cannabis allowance...

Default Putting Panic in Perspective

Relax, my friend. Take a deep breath.

Stress can do many harmful things to a person. I am a living example of it. Unfortunately, weed comes with its own set of push-button panic scenarios that don't do much to alleviate stress. It's part and parcel of the culture under the current government administration.

I suspect you have developed an allergy that is psychologically rooted in your life. In other words, you have a lot of risk, (you mentioned being in the business), and therefore a lot of stress, even if on the surface, you handle it well. It's necessary in your life to keep a clear head, so perhaps this is your body's way of ensuring your survival?

Have you tried cooking and eating your buds? This may help you readjust and enable you in the future to smoke without creating panic attacks. The high is very different, more subtle, and full-bodied. Not to mention it lasts a long time. Initial returns to smoking after a period of abstinence can cause fairly intense highs that may be unwelcome if you have developed panic attacks. These generally dissipate after a few days of consumption and settle into a comfortable groove.

Be particularly aware of your surroundings. I know that as I have grown older, I prefer to have my creature comforts and a feeling of security about me. It's not the same lifestyle as when I was 18 and free to get up and go anywhere or do anything and no one could get hurt except me. Back then I didn't have much to lose, now I have a family. The more you have to lose, the more you worry about losing it.

Perhaps you see where I'm going with this. It may be that you have gained a few years, seen a lot, and are aware of the pitfalls. In that case, your panic may be a healthy reaction to the world about you and you don't want to kill that. You want to mitigate it so that the fear doesn't control you and cause you more problems.

Good luck. I hope you'll be back in your game soon. If you haven't learned to enjoy the Eating of the Green, then soon you will. It will change the way you experience this plant entirely.

Best wishes,

Sukhavati
