Default Having More Anxiety Without Marijuana

Before I begin, I'll give a little background info

When I used to go to parties (stopped a few months ago, not my scene anymore, too many negative people!) I was always very social and basically would meet almost everyone. This also happens when I am going paintballing or just encountering someone for the first time.

However, when I am in the halls at school or in malls (with friends or not, doesn't matter) I tend to feel quite a bit of anxiety. It is weird, because I don't care about other's opinions about me or anything of that nature, so I never could understand this. It's been happening for about 5 years.

Anyways, I realized that a solution that helped me overcome this was that great plant called Marijuana Whenever I was going to the mall or anything like that with friends I would smoke a small bowl and feek a lot better. I never saw (and still don't) see harm in this, because it is essentially the same as taking pills for anxiety.

However, I stopped smoking and only eat MJ, and now for spiritual trips only. I have found that I am feel a lot more anxiety than before. I know this isn't because of the Marijuana, but the routine of toking before doing things like that had pretty much taken it all away, and now without it I feel it more.

I know it is only physiological, but anyone have any (non pharm.) solutions to get over this?

Heh im in like the exact situation man, actually im helping a few big dealer friends with a mardi gras hotel party this weekend so hopefully ill just chill. Ive found one thing that helps that goes down about every other weekend. I can't say it but its all natural and i trip my ass off.

The body high of ingested marijuana is different than the high of inhalation.

I would suggest you purchase a vapourizer to allow you to inhale without the smoke.

In trying the placebo effect you may want to try a routine of buring incense before leaving (the fire, smoke and smell) as the stimulus/ritual might soothe you.

Yesterday morning at around 4.30am I was feeling very spiritual (wasn't even high!) and did some nice meditation for 1.5 hours - my longest yet. I found that this helped a lot.

I am practicing a Buddhist form of meditation, and since I am a beginner I am basically learning to seperate myself from the physical world. Takes some time and I don't always stay in the nice mental state, but when it works it is just a great clean feeling! This method is a stepping stone to the other more advanced forms, where you actually learn and question things - right now I am just getting inside my head

My whole day was very positive after that. It's weird how concentrating on your breathing and following a few other things can make you totally at ease and clear with things.

But lately I haven't been waking up at my normal time (lol 4.00am!) and this isn't a sure method. I keep intending on buying a vaporizer, but I put it off thinking it 'won't work'.

I'll force myself, if necessary, to the local head shop and get one this weekend, not smoking and only eating hasn't been all that fun. Eating is like a full blown mental trip while smoking is relaxing.
