| I am doing a project for Bio. on the positive affects hallucinogens have in terms of medicinal uses, and am going to be talking mostly about Marijuana. Does anyone have any good links or know of any good books to check out? I find the only things I can get are government 'research' (*cough* propaganda) or privately funded research - and many times the latter seem almost fake and as biased as the government kind. Thanks a lot all |

| You can read medical information from Freedomtoexhale http://freedomtoexhale.com/research.htm There is a site more about all substances http://www.lycaeum.org/ As you know Hawaii was the first state to adopt MMJ through the use of the legislature. They will tell you that MJ is not a hallucigen and I agree with that statement. Then again MJ is listed as a Schedule 1 Narcotic when it is not a narcotic. A narcotic is something that can put you to sleep. In the UK they have Class 1 drugs and ?Class 2 drugs which is more appropriate language because here in the US we list everything except alcohol and nicotine in a schedule of narcotics including speed. http://www.medijuana.com/ Since the name medijuana appears I will mention that in Canada the government refers to MMJ as marihuana with the h designating the word "health" There has been a shortage of studies because the first studies made did not get the results the government wanted and some were destroyed by Reagan and of course they ended. The scientific community has a website that was constructed to be a gathering place for scientific study and that site would be: http://www.cannabis-med.org/english/home.htm One of my favorite sites for news is http://www.cannabisnews.com You can go there and look for medical articles looking under highlights on the right of the screen and clicking on "Marijuana the forbidden medicine." I would also check Yahooka and maybe http://www.rxmarijuana.com | |
