Are Rx recommendations honored state to state?

For instance, Let's say that I live in Colorado and have a doctors recommendation to use cannabis in a medicinal capacity. This summer I am travelling to Hawaii on business. Will Hawaii dispensaries honor a Colorado state recommendation?

If not, it seems to me that because this is a State by State law - all states that have legalized it for use in a medicinal capacity should honor verifiable recommendations from other states. Is there currently any movement towards this end?

Short answer seems to be no...

Looks like Hawaii is trying to get legislation through about this and Rhode Island might have something set up according to this:

Thanks for the info Plainsman. Informative - would be nice if we could get all of the MMJ states to organize a system of reciprocity.
