| My only complaint about marijuana.com is that it is too much of "the choir preaching to the choir". We are all advocates on this site already. Please help change that. On digg.com I have posted a story that should get out to the general public. It concerns the US Government crushing studies that show Cannabis can cure Cancer, the first time was in 1974. Please, please go digg that story and others like it so it can become more prominent. Even if it means signing up and putting in some effort, this is perhaps the most important this marijuana.com can do, it can serve as a platform for us to band together and strike forth into more general sites, digg.com is perfect for that. The title of that story is "Marijuana Shrinks Tumors, Government Knew In 1974 ", so you should be able to search on it. There were many others (I actually probably shouldn't have posted it but did anyway). DIGG THEM ALL. Get friends, get them to do the same. Thanks, and peace to all.

| I have recently had great luck with some cannabis stories on digg.com. They have gotten very popular. Digg.com complements this site wonderfully for at least two reasons: 1. We can link to stories posted here, and thus get our message out beyond just people on this site. People on this site are already with us, we can reach a much broader audience. 2. This part is crucial folks: given a tiny bit of momentum (70 "diggs" or so),a story leaves the pit and winds up on the front page of digg.com. From there, marijuana stories take off! Not to brag, and with the help of this site, I have a story on the 2nd page of the 30 day history on digg.com. GO SIGN UP. SEARCH FOR "marijuana" on digg.com. AND THEN digg the stories. I am going to risk multi-posting on this site because this is so important, I ask the admins of mj.com to support this and help if they can. Peace all. |

| Yeah, because a hive-mind site like Digg has such an influence on what people see, hear, and do. ![]() Sorry, but participating in such a site and becoming part of that borg-ish assembly accomplishes very little. Sure, there's the possibility that someone with some influence may see the article and one person's thinking may be swayed... However, don't you think it would be far more productive to forward such articlees to your legislator rather than boosting the article's rating on a public voting website? Even more so... Is it worth posting the same diatribe about digg in three seperate forums?!?!?! |

| Pervert: Not sure what "hive minded" is, but if you refer to everyone thinking the same thing then that is this site, not that one. Trust me, I like this site much better than digg. However, digg has all sorts of walks of life on it, this has just one. You stay in your cozy little world here, and preach to other preachers. I would have to say that this site is next to useless for activism, because we all already believe in mj to be on this site. Out in the "real" world, we can influence others who aren't sure. If you try digg, you will see that there is an unbelievable amount of discussion occurring on cannabis, and I strongly want to involve those on this site to that. If that constitutes a "diatribe", then so be it. And oh yeah, I constantly write newspapers and congress-folk, both mine and others. |

That story involves the government covering up cancer research in 1974, as my sig line refers to. Tens of thousands of people saw that story, and were rightfully outraged. The discussions raged for two days. TONS of people who had no idea and were middle-of-the-road saw that. So yeah, I think that does effect how people think. You seem a bit too defensive about this site, I believe we should work together. That one story on digg had more of an effect on the movement than 1000 posts on this site. I'm not taking a shot at this great site, it is just that here everyone ALREADY is on board. | |
