| I have chronic pain from an accident I had a few years ago that shattered my left calcaneus (that's the big egg shaped bone on the heel of your foot). I vape cannabis for this primarily. A couple months ago, though, I had some dental work done and they prescribed me Norco (10 mg of hydrocodone / 325 mg of acetaminaphen) 1 every 4 hours as needed. The first thing I noticed was that for me, taken as directed, they did nothing. Doubling the dose really helped. Talking with other people, this dose is normally enough to make someone useless for several hours. Not me--only decent pain reduction--no other noticeable effects. Since the pot was sufficient for my pain reduction, I put the refill for the Norco away. A couple weeks later I was cannabisless and decided to try Norco recreationally (figuring that even if I REALLY like it, I don't have to worry because I had a very limited supply). I took 4 once while at a theater organ concert (yeah, I know, weird) with my SO and inlaws. It just made me really happy and talkative (and zero heel pain, of course). Anyway, it was fun and my supply vanished so I'm not a pill fiend. Regards, -1 | |

| I didn't see vicodin on your drug list, but of the ones you did mention,Don't seem to cause liver deterioration,(as far as the medical profession knows). With L3/4 discs severed, you must sit alot.!I am surprised you walk at all.Marijuana will not to my knowledge, have any adverse affect to your current scheduled drug intake. (note) vicodin will cause liver damage, switch to Norco. b.s.

| Norco is just Vicodin with more hydrocodone. Quote:

| LOL THere are times that NO MATTER WHAT I do it doesn't help, I call those my "antsy" times. I feel like I am gonna crawl outta my skin, or should I say I WISH I could crawl outta my skin! I have to tell you something I have noticed the last couple of days though; hadn't had any smoke for about a week, and really was doing well after a recent "procedure", didn't feel like I "needed" a puff to help me make it through. My loving hubby got a lil bit o green and I partook.......after a bit I was really feeling my muscles spasm. More than they had in the last few days, real intense.....now I'm thinkin' "NO NO don't do this to me!" Don't tell me I can't smoke! But like I had said in recent post, if it don't feel good don't do it. Maybe it was a "different strain", maybe it was cuz I was clean for a week, I don't know. ANY HINTS out there as to WHY that would occur? ALSO, I have to go to the Co. Dr. and I will be tested for drugs, my son said football players at his school drank vinegar...........WILL/DOES that work? Great to get replies and get other conversations started, THX ALL! | |

| suede, Hey, the PDR says you're right. I thought the acetaminophen levels were identical. The difference is 175 mg per tab for standard Vicoden and 335 mg per tab in Vicodin HP. If you're really looking to avoid liver damage, though, you should switch to Vicoprofen--ibuprofen is significantly less toxic than acetaminophen. Regards, -1 | |

| Some folks do prefer to do the vicoprophen and love their liver, but many cases involve patients with stomach ulcers and other digestive problems that the ibuprofen aggravates to a much greater degree than does the acetaminophen. Marijuana is being used by many to compensate the difference and help ease the hydrocodone's dependency. b.s.(bowl note )vicoprophen's 750mg.anti-inflamitory/7.5mg.hydrocodone could possibly serve as a 2 for 1 alternative !!! ?Is this helping ?"some information is not always better than no information" suede |

| Am I up for a rough time when it comes to gettin me offa all this **** I am on now? I know that when I have procedures I really want the smoke to be abundantly available! The specialist says they know what they are doing and it will be no problem to get me off. I have to say I have had NO problems what so ever taking all that they have me on, infact I had to ask for higher doses due to pain. Only thing I have found is that I have to take Senekote everynight or I bound ..........and not in a good way! ![]() | |

| I know first hand ,the expense of these drugs you're taking.I can also just about guarantee, that with the physical problems you have narrated, you will be taking something to ease pain and keep down inflammation for the rest of your life...I wouldn't worry too much about coming off them. When I say that Marijuana is being used to ease the dependency of hydro....I am speaking quite literally in dollars and cents, sense, scents, sents. I can grow enough marijuana to keep me from ever having to refill an expensive hydro script again! Remember, doctors aren't magic, and they don't know everything about what they're doing. They're "practicing"and experimenting...based on their education, and knowledge of course, but still Natural is the only way for me,and nothing I know of works like marijuana! b.s. |
