| Hi every single body. I've got a question. Sometimes after I smoke I get horrible burnout. The next day I can barely function, all I can do is slleeep. The worst was when I tried the lava lamp vaporizer and had school the next day. I felt like utter crapola. Is this normal? I read somewhere that weed sometimes causes amotivational sydrome in habitual teenage smokers. Is this true? Maybe I just need to get some better quality pot. Its been getting slightly better, so maybe i just need to get used to it. Or maybe cause I finally made myself a nice bong to play with. Anyways.....anyone else get this? Any remedies...like eating raw eggs while hopping on one foot and balancing a plate on your head? I know that works for a runny nose.... ![]() | |

| There is a thread in health and medicine right now about marijuana helping people sleep, and a few people discussed how they dont like to smoke too much to get to sleep, because they feel bad in the morning. Sounds like what is happening to you. This has never happend to me, I can smoke a large amount, and in the morning I will feel just fine, and be able to fully function and perform athleticly just a few hours later. The only logical explanation that I can think of is that your body is not processing certain chemicals fast enough. I am not sure which chemicals in marijuana would cause this negative effect, but it seems like your body is processing the "good" chemicals, but not some of the bad ones, so in the morning you are left with just the bad stuff. Smoking better weed may help the problem. Marijuana that is predominately Sativa has alot more of the "good" chemicals, and less of the "bad" chemicals while weed that is predominately Indica will have more of the sleepy groggy lazy "bad" chemicals. If you smoke scwhag alot then this could be the problem. Alot of schwag is Indica because it produces a more noticable high to users, so dealers will sell this because it will seem like better weed, even though it is probably not. HillBilly has responded to a thread similar to this one at the old boards, I forget his exact explanation, but maybe he will come on and get this all cleared up. | |

| Howdy 5am!! Thanks Vapors! You explained that well. Let's see here... What is your energy level without smoking? Are you ill? Are you staying up till 5am hittin the lava lamp and then trying to function? Do you exercise? I'm not trying to bombard you with questions, just trying to narrow it down.. The weed you smoking.. Is it a heavy, long lasting, tiresome buzz? If so, it may very well carry over. Dude, this may sound weird, but in the morning.. get up 10 minutes early, take the dog for a walk, or do some exercises.. Something to get the blood going. Eat 3 square meals a day. And get to bed 45 minutes or so earlier.. You'd be suprised what a few extra minutes of sleep can do. ~~hb you keep posting, we'll keep helping | |

| Hey, you guys are so nice.... ok, so usually i have a decent amount of energy, but i am the type of person who naps in the afternoon. I dont exercise much. The weed I smoke does give me a long buzz, it takes a while for me to come down. And I am probably smoking Indica. Wooo that pretty explains it. So now I guess I know why I'm so burnt. haha Thanks guys I think I'll start exercising or something now. Weed is my motivation for exercise! Yes!![]() | |

| New Member | Is it possible to OVER-SMOKE on one night, and actually smoke yourself to sleep? I smoked 2 full bowls of good stuff last night. That is a lot for me. I slept like a baby! This morning I feel more refreshed then ever! I was able to sleep late, because I am off from work today, so that may be part of it. This was also one of the FEW TIMES I smoked a lot without drinking any alochol, so the no-hangover may be part of it also! ![]() I did eat like a pig before I went to bed, I couldn't stop MR Munchie, but this morning I was still hungry! Hmm other then the munchie problem, I feel totally refreshed. As soon as I take a shower, I am sure I will feel GREAT!! |

| Jr. Member | I never go to bed completely stonned. I feel it's a waste, so I usually go to bed pritty burnt out. When I wake up in the morning, I'm usually pritty groggy for about a half an hour. After that, I feel great for the rest of the day! |

| Jr. Member | I went to sleep totally stoned last night. This morning wasn't actually that bad, and this afternoon until this evening I was drinking coffee, so I doubt I'm going to get much of any sleep tonight (which doesn't matter, since I have tomorrow off because of this storm we're getting). There was a point to this post... oh yeah, caffeine and herb go well together. Trust me, a cup of coffee (or 500 or so if you're like me) will wake you up in the morning. In the evening, well... I'll let you know. btw, I have this new signature I wrote up tonight but I don't know if it would actually work.

| I get burned out sometimes, too, especially if I smoke a huge amount after not having smoked in a few days. Vapors is right -- schwag tends to cause burnouts, due to the nature of the indica strain. (Most schwag tends to be indica, by the way.) You should try to get some better weed, and if you can't, try smoking from a bong or a glass pipe instead of a vaporizer. Usually I can wake up just fine the night after a lot of smoking, but sometimes I can't...it depends also on your overall health (i.e. diet, regular sleep habits, etc.). I do recommend smoking a little less on the nights you have school -- besides, you get a lot higher on the weekends that way! | |

| welll.... It's probably the schwag...i find that bad weed gives me terrible burnout but if i smoke some good bud then sleep while still stoned i feel a ok in the morning...except, i have this weird thing where i feel like im really dirty and grimy...but that goes away after a shower... also i found that vaporizers give me almost no burnout...weird... | |
