I've had a sinus infection for the past 5 days (stuffy nose, sore throat) and I wanted to know if smoking was alright if I am still somewhat sick or if it is too harmful to smoke and cause more stress towards my lungs?

If it's a sinus infection then your lungs are irrelevant. The bigger concern is the irritation caused to your throat by the hot smoke and inhaled chemicals. The same can be said regardless of whether you're smoking tobacco, weed, whatever. Maybe try eating the pot, or abstain. It won't kill you to smoke with the sinus infection, but it may impair your recovery time. It's up to you, you'll live either way.

That sounds soooo nice.

I've smoked when I've had colds and I enjoyed it; it helped dry out my nose and the cold seemed more tolerable.

When I was young(er) and stupid(er) I smoked daily while sick with a case of Strep throat. Ouch...

You can smoke with a sinus infection and be fine, but like neph. was saying it might make your recovery time longer. If your going to smoke it, I would recomend using only a water bong, even if you have to make a homemade one. That's just if you decided to smoke it though, it wouldn't effect your sinus infection at all if you just vaped or ate it though.

I ironically decided not to do it, only because I have a Spanish final monday and I need to feel better. Once I get better I will definitely make up for it. Thanks guys.
