Thanks for all the great info you guys.
couple more questions.... how is medical MJ dispensed? Can you go to a pharmacy? And how is a persons use monitored? If I smoke my perscribed dose and then some of my own, would they somehow be able to know that?
Also, would an out of state script give me any leg to stand on in my own state?

Maggie, I can only field that last question. The way it works is that patients are being busted by federal agents, who then turn the case over to the state to prosecute the offense. If it's legal in that state, then no state laws were broken and the state has no case. Federally, possession is illegal, so unless your state has stipulations legalizing your possession, the answer to the question is no. Common sense has no place in the court room, only the letter of the law. If none of those letters are in your favor, then you would be deemed a criminal. ...sad but true.
