| dude, you should really get her to a doctor. bleeding from the stumach is not good! if nothing else, you could kidnap her, put a blindfold over her and tie her hands around her back so she cant run away, then take her to the doctor. also tell her that the doctor isnt gonna do anything to her if he knows she smokes. but she needs to get that checked out. its a serious deal, and should not be taken lightly.

| I agree with Leithras, vomiting blood is not something to be taken lightly. Even if smoking weed attributed to it, so what! What she needs is medical attention...not worrying about what a doctory will do to her if he/she finds out she has been smoking (which is most likely nothing). |

| Significance of blood in vomit Bright red streaks of blood in the vomit can be caused by irritation of the mouth or nose from vomiting. This is not serious if there is only a streak of blood that you are sure came from your mouth or nose. However, when there is more than streaks of blood or you are not sure the blood came from your mouth or nose, a visit to a health professional is needed. A moderate to large amount of blood in vomit means there is bleeding in the digestive tract (gastrointestinal tract, or GI tract), usually from the esophagus, stomach, or the part of the small intestine that connects to the stomach (duodenum). Digestive tract bleeding can be caused by inflammation, a craterlike sore (ulcer), or tears in the esophagus from vomiting. If bleeding is severe, the vomit will be mostly blood or material that looks like coffee grounds (partially digested blood). Vomiting blood may occur with illnesses (such as peptic ulcer disease or gastritis) that cause craterlike sores (ulcers) in the esophagus or inflammation in the stomach or the part of the small intestine that connects to the stomach (duodenum). Vomiting blood may occur with cancer of the esophagus, stomach, or duodenum. These illnesses will cause abdominal pain and sometimes large amounts of blood in the vomit. Definetly get her to a Dr. ASAP,don't ignore symptoms like that. Good Luck!!

| Ive never heard of a docter turning anyone in for smoking weed. Every docter treats people every day they know smoke weed. Just tell her that hopefully it persuades her. She may also have another reason for not wanting to go that shes not telling you about, and the weed excuse may be convienient. She def. needs to go to the doctor now. |

| There are a couple of possibilities that your friends girl needs to consider. All of which should really involve her physician and the surgeon who performed her surgery. 1) Depending on the exact nature of her surgery she may be having complications. If she had it removed surgically, entirely or in part, the surgeon may have perforated her esophagus, causing her her have bleeding that is draining down her throat. Depending on ones tolerance, after anywhere from a few tablespoons to a pint of swallowed blood your body is going to reject it. 2) If she had her thyroid removed with radioactive iodine treatment, she may be suffering from anything from radiation burns in her GI tract to some kind of reaction from the therapy. Generally radioactive iodine uses very low doses of radiation, but mistakes can be made. 3) If she had her thyroid removed either way she is probably on replacement hormone therapy such as Thyroxine or Soloxine. She may also be on a drug called Hytakerol to help regulate her calcium levels in case of accidental para-thyroid damage during the procedure. perhaps one of these drugs is causing her to be sick. Regardless of the reasoning, it is NOT from MJ use. She needs to see someone quickly. Please give us an update when you have one. Peace out, HG | |
