i dont think bud is physicly addicting but psychologicly it may be. I had to quit smoking on monday cuz i failed my drug test for probation(4 days is the longest i have gone without smoking in 3 years) Prior to that i smoked every day on average 5-6 times a day And i really really really really wanna smoke, but its not like i have to to get through my day or anything you know? but i always think about it and even dream about it at night, hah. But its not like heroin or anything where you go through withdrawal

Probably for the same reason that you'd have a lot of sex in a day if you could. It's a blast.

Yeah, marijuana addiction is certainly limited to the psychological realm...but that doesn't mean it can't get nasty. Psychological addiction can be almost as hard to get rid of as physical addiction (except for the withdrawals and psychosis, of course :P ). But for most people, the worst thing that will happen if they're suddenly forced to stop smoking is that they'll have a strong craving to do it agian...but unless you use weed to hide from your problems/life, thats really the worst that'll happen. And plus, even that strong craving can go away surprisingly fast if you just keep yourself busy.

i know only one girl that went to rehab because of weed. She screwed up big time, everything in her life was about weed. She quit school, got knocked up. Now shes 19 has a little daughter and stoped smoking, but she does toke everyonce in a while

As long you do your job/school work and weed doesnt make you skip class or anything, than you're ok

Default Hello there!

Welcome to marijuana.com!

I am a daily smoker.
Personally...I used to wonder, "Am I addicted?"
But I know now that I am not. I simply put that question to the test sometimes, by simply choosing to not smoke. When I choose not to, I have no trouble. When I choose to smoke again, it is even more enjoyable.

May I suggest the "Marijuana Myths" section.
Here's a link for ya: http://my.marijuana.com/myths.php3

"...Read on, brotha..."

Peace.

Marijuana can be extremely psychologically addictive. I was addicted for a couple years, and all I ever wanted to do, or thought about, was getting high. I enjoyed the feeling of being high, and feeling "outside of myself" that it was all I desired. I felt like it opened up a huge cortex of my brain which enabled me to think deeply, appreciate things in my life, and visualize music in my mind as I listened to it. It is one of the greatest feelings.

After awhile it took over my life, and I started to not associate with friends, family, and just isolated myself in my own little world. I have a very addictive personality and suffer from, hyperhidrosis, unipolar depression, anxiety disorders, ADD, and obsessive compulsive disorder. So marijuana always seemed right because it helped me escape all the mental and emotional pain i was going through. Luckily I"m not in that addictive state anymore. I toke maybe every couple months, and try to not buy large amounts.

Just a warning, but if you aren't careful, and you smoke for the wrong reasons (depression i.e. trying to run away from your problems) you will like the feeling, and feel like smoking all the time. Just my experience.
