I work at a computer all day, I'm a Graphic Designer, and all week my neck muscles have been killing me. I've been popping pills all week trying to relieve my pain. It's that kind of neck pain that gives you a headache. Anyways, I was talking with my wife last night and she said "Maybe it's because you haven't been smoking all week" (I'm buying some more weed on Friday, so I haven't smoked in about 5 days)

That got me thinking, I didn't even think of that. Ofcourse it's most likely the weed. It is a know mucsle relaxant (that why your eyes get droopy, because it's relaxing your eyelid muscles) so I'm assuming that the weed is helping me with my neck troubles...

Hell with it, I'm not going to wait until Friday, I'm going to get some tonight, I've had enough with these synthetic-codine-lab-created drugs. Plus they make my stomach upset.

Just give me natural weed anyday... Sure smoking isn't the best thing for you, but it sure is a lot more fun than popping pills every four hours.

Just think of the millions that the Pharm companies would loose if weed was legal. (makes you think about the government... are they keeping it illegal for our benefit, or theirs)

Well the U.S has been in the pocket of the drug companies for as long as they've had a health care system.

Thats why I love Canada... although, its almost as bad up here.

One day I was getting a ride home from a club meeting (Friends of the Earth ) and I got sick to my stomach, so when I got home I lit up (I would have thrown up before but I didn't have any food in my system... my mouth was watering like CRAZY so I had to swallow everything every second ) and when I did, the nausea immediatly went away. I also tried with a headache, and it worked, but when I came down, the headache came back. Sucky indeed. But it definitely did take away the nausea completely.

It's funny you mention that about the neck pain, Sallad. I also suffer from chronic (get it? heh ) neck and back pain, which CONSTANTLY results in a horrible headache. Mine is unfortunately the after-affects from a car accident 18 (whoa! long time ago!!!) years ago. Instead of having neck and back surgery, I opted to forego that and deal with the pain.



Barely sums it up...I know exactly how you feel, Sallad! Weed completely dulls the pain for me....it's amazing. It even gets rid of the headache too. IF (and I mean this strongly) I take pills at all, I have to take a gazillion of them to even DULL the pain. Motrin works but it ends up making me nauseous sometimes. I'm seriously thinking of trying to get medical marijuana....Weed makes me PAIN FREE! Not to mention rather fun to be around as well...hehe

Vyx, if weed doesnt cure your pain, from your symptoms I believe that seeing a doctor would land you with some pretty effective pain management pills, prescription of course. Just a thought if it's really bugging you.

Weed DOES get rid of the pain. It's pretty much the only drug I've taken that has. I've taken Vicodin (and I found out~albeit it the hard way~that I'm allergic to Demerol) and it hasn't done anything for me. I just don't like the idea of having to become a pill popper because weed is illegal. I'm sure my doctor could put me on a crapload of drugs, but there's only one I really want!!!

personally i experience better pain relief from narcotics/opiates, however, i do not like the way they make my stomach feel, and if the doc gave me a choice between narcotics and weed for free everyday, i'd take the weed.

It's amazing how something so natural can have so many positive effects.

Often times cannabinoids will have a positive effect on pain relief where opiod medications have failed...Also cannabinoids tend to increase the effecacy of any other medication taken with them. Lastly cannabinoids have an anti inflamatory effect as well.

But try these things too... readjust your chair height, and your keyboard height...and get a real massage. Your head weighs a lot with all that goopy brain stuff and those neck muscles really are being over worked.
