Hey guys, i got a very disturbing story concering me. PLEASE do not take certain painkillers or excessive amounts with marijuana. I know this really doesn't relate but i want to tell you the dangers of mixing this. Yesterday night i took 8 painkillers(forgot the name, it relaed to methodone), then i took four hits of marijuana..I passed out in my room about 20minutes later, i soon realized i was in the hospital having an Iv hooked up to my arm, and lots of blood drawn, i was in a raging violent mood, i was telling the doctors to F off, i couldnt walk one bit, i was drooling, had serious tremors(shaking) in my whole arm..i had to spend the night at the hospital hok up to an IV, i just got back at 6:30pm, please guys, hear me, do not take painkillers with marijuaa, or even excessive amounts of painkillers alone, thanx..i almost died..i dont even remember anything. peace

Are you sure that the marijuana had something to do with it? Did you ever take that many of those painkillers before? How many were you supposed to take?

Anyway, glad to hear you're OK, technobudz. Sounds like a scary experience. Take it easy...

I agree that the marijuana may have had little contribution to your medical emergency. You state that you took 8 painkillers…that's a lot…check the mg amount of each pill (usually 5mg to 200 mg, can range to 400 mg) and check the label instructions as per "how many to take within a given time period."

Also, did you swallow the pills intact, or where they broken up or chewed? A lot of painkillers rely on time release, and a sudden introduction of the drug into the bloodstream can be toxic or fatal. The label should state HOW to take (and HOW NOT to take), per FDA regulations. You can also find out about the drug by searching the internet.
