I was listening to Michael Savage on the radio, and he was talking about how mj is the most dangerous drug because people think it's the least dangerous. He said that since most mj is grown in other countries, whose soil is rich in levels of mercury, it is very harmful to one's health. Is that bs or what? I mean, most stuff is home grown as far as I know. But what do you guys think.

Considering mercury poisoning is pretty readily diagnoseable, and ISN'T on the increase among users of marijuana it sounds like crap to me regardless where the pot is coming from.

Michael Savage also screams "gateway drug" at the top of his lungs but doesn't want to DO anything about pot users moving on to harder drugs (getting the pot selling business OUT of the hands of black market dealers)
and he dismisses anyone who cares about the poor, the environment, or any other country besides america as "red diaper doper babies"
That being said, I listen to the man every day. He's hillarious.

Considering I live on an island in the middle of the pacific, with a near perfect climate for growing cannabis, i'm not to worried about his propaganda.

I HAVE to monitor his ramblings at work (part of the job) and have come to the conclusion that he is the worst thing on the radio these days.

I agree with him on a few things...but his ignorance and insensitivity is rediculous. PLUS...if he's not talking about himself, he's got NO show!

Remember the movie 'Talk Radio'? It sounds like he's trying to be Barry Champlain with the stupid shouting he does! He's NOT a radio professional IMO...hell, Rush Limbaugh gets more respect from me than this guy!

And next time you hear him...see if he sounds like Arthur (Jerry Stiller) from 'King of Queens' to you! It's uncanny!

I'm glad you bumped this p00n. I have a new theory about Michael Savage.
He is a Liberal. Everything he says is a sham and he knows it. When I listen to his arguments, I think "Either this guy is absolutely unintelligent, or he is trying to subvert the system from the inside"
Since he has a PhD, I don't think that he is unintelligent.
One day he even said that they should just legalize marijuana so he doesn't have people calling in to his show all the time to tell him how good it is.

How is he worse than Rush though?

From the standpoint of an entertaining, witty and professional radio personality...I'd take Rush over him ANY day! Have you ever heard some of his 'funny' bits...they're laughable (and not in a good way) at best

Maybe it's the fact I let a lot of the political rhetoric go in one ear and out the other...and judge these guys from a 'show' point of view. The 'Program Director' in me says he's got a lot to learn about his presentation and...a good part of his time on the air he's hawking his latest book that's supposed to be #4 or something on the best seller list!

I'm sure he's got SOME smarts...but listen to how many times a day he announces his attributes! "I'm a nutritionist...I gotta PHD from blah blah blah, I'm this I'm that!" It gets REALLY old!
