| Hmmm...I must have missed the Aspergers Syndrome lesson while in medical school. IMO, I would say it couldnt hurt. If it was something concerning the lungs or heart I'd say no. But im quite dumb. |

| Toilet ![]() | see, they dont call me the master of search for nothing ![]() depending on what your symptoms are, its tuff to just say yes or no to a medical question. my best bet is for you to ask your doctor if it would conflict. and no, they will not care if you ask any questions about marijuana (unless you have a doctor that has been brain washed by all the propaganda floating around. |

| New Member | Asperger's disorder is not a disease. It means you have a bit of autism and therefore you have a cognitive difference, often with very high IQ and a special talent. I have Asperger's disorder and I smoke weed all the time. |

| New Member | I have Asperger's Disorder and I do find that weed helps me to fit in with the "normals". Basically weed helps me to perceive non-verbal communication. Normals have a whole lot of body language that Aspies don't learn due to our cognitive differences. This inability to perceive non-verbal communication doesn't mean we are inferior it just means that we are different. Autism is an emerging culture that is at the stage that deaf culture was many years ago. Smoking weed gave me my first understanding of what it must be like to be a normal. It is a wondrous plant and I believe must be intended by nature to be part of our wellbeing. As for Marijuanasteve's ranting against normals, I think that resentment comes from the fact that people with autism have historically been institutionalized and continue to be treated quite brutally by normals. There is even an industry that currently profits by researching ways to eradicate us from the human gene pool in what amounts to a genocide. |

| Jr. Member | Y'know...I just saw this lol Anyway, I've found that one of the biggest advantages of smoking pot is the fact that when high with neurotypical people, you as a group are free to communicate on a reflective level, and also it helps a great deal with finding a/many common interest(s). Mainly, it's only when you can relate to someone can you start to learn, and I mean both neurotypical and people with cognitive disorders...shit, tack on anyone for that matter. Not that I'm defending this guy, but like it or not you share many qualities of the Aspie positives, and more of the negatives than you may percieve. All you did was list the negatives, which are far outweighed by the positives. I'm sure you didn't mean it as a group insult, but people may feed off your opinions in a misinformed mannor. Or in short, who drops a bomb for one person when all you need is a bullet? ![]() Think about it for a sec. Once someone diagnosed realizes that the biggest problem with the disorder is other people's willfull ignorence to the socially askew, they will realize it's mainly a case of fearing the unknown/being self absorbed/lazy cognitive habbits. If you are an adult and suspect you are an Aspie (much shorter to type lol), the following is a decent quiz online composing of 150 questions, and a further 50 (if I remember correctly) for dyslexia. I have taken the quiz twice, with largely similar results; despite the fact that I forgot to backtrack and answer a question I left for later in one of the takes. In no way is this a diagnosis, but it's pretty damn close!
