| i can't find how to respond to the article about weed is as bad as tobacco because of air expulsion studies...the study i read here doesn't prove anything except expulsion of air is effected by inhaling weed and / or tobacco...i've eaten weed in cookies and it feels like i've smoked weed or tobacco...and my air expulsion may or may not be effected...i can't hold my breath as long after smoking weed or tobacco...stilll means nothing as far a permanent harm...for a day i may have lower inhale or exhale abilities but , again , says nothing about whether there's contamination of equal amount with tobacco and weed use...whether i can inhale or exhale after using tobacco or weed doesn't necesarily mean i have more carcinogens etc. ... sounds like the one who ran the experiment is just trying to reach conclusions supporting her or his bias...the results aren't 'scientific' ... jcjs ![]() |

| even if cannabis is just as bad as tobacco, you still smoke alot less of cannabis per day and cigarettes have nicotine which is addicting. cannabis doesnt.

If you can't exhale as much after smoking, it means that the smoke is having an adverse effect on your lungs. Just for the record, I did one of those tests a few months ago. I smoked the day before the test and the doctor said those were my best results Although my breathing is fine, MJ smoke does irritate my throat and makes it feel constricted sometimes. But who is honestly surprised? Obviously smoking anything isn't good on the lungs! | |

| Yeah, I read somewhere that one marijuana joint can equal as much as 5 tobacco cigarettes because it would be a fat joint and you inhale harder. It's valid info, but most people don't smoke one joint all to themselves, nor do they tend to smoke more than one joint per session. The average cigarette smoker is 20 cigarettes/1 pack daily. Then alot of pot smokers don't smoke every single day.
