This is a giant leap backwards..

I'm no expert but I would say that as long as state law says that prescribing marijuana is legal, it will still be legal for doctors to prescribe. But now the feds have their precedent case and they can prosecute all of the medicinal marijuana users that they can track down.

This crap really pisses me off

Words cannot describe what I'm feeling right now......this is one of the worst court decisions I have ever seen, and it truely makes me sick to my stomach. this isn't just some minor defeat.....this was supposed to be THE deciding court case as far as medical use goes, and now this......excuse me while I go puke

They have been doing this. They will just keep on prosecuting. This just means they arent going to stop going after medical users. What are states rights again?

Just like states can set the drinking age, but if they set it below 21, they get no federal funding. States have no rights anymore, and It's sad.

Monday's ruling "upholds the long-established scientific fact that marijuana is not medicine, and it reaffirms that medicine by popular vote is a dangerous process that bypasses the FDA, reduces consumer protections and jeopardizes sick patients," said Eric A. Voth, M.D., chairman of the Institute on Global Drug Policy.

i think i got this the above states that marijuana is not medicine and is bad for sick patients. and that it is a scientific fact.

wasnt it the scientist that stated marijuana could be used for medicine. such as treatments for tourettes, huntingtons, dystonia, parkinsons, movement, epilepsy, glaucoma, aids, hiv, ect...

am i wrong or are they proving wrong the proven right?

has anybody here read marijuana and medicine--assessing the science base.

they can send us to war to die. but they cant even allow ill people rights to smoke pot. that has yet proved people to die from smoking it. or even eating it. hmmmmmmmmmm im going freakin nuts. if theres ever some kind of revoultion to split from are goverment and build a new good, honest, for the people goverment..... sign me up.

What does this change? The federal law banning medical marijuana was the same yesterday, nothing has changed. If this encourages federal agents to stake out marijuana clubs and bust the patients seeking treatment, well, then that will suck.

I live in San Francisco and have 2 clinics on my block, if the feds do come in, I have a carton of eggs ready to go and a nice perch up on my roof.

Remember those Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions? Or the Nullfication Crisis? Or the Civil War? Let's try those again.
