| I need some help with Oregon laws and Help from anyone with experience in getting a medical card in Oregon. I have Sculiousis (back problems) and need to find a doctor to talk with that would be open to medical cards. I hope somebody can help. Backhandr6 | |

| Jr. Member | I'm in the program, myself. I found the Oregon NORML website helpful [www.ornorml.org]. Also, if you have a regular family doctor, take the paperwork in to them and ask them to sign it. Generally, there is less resistant to the idea now that the program has been in place a while, and there is a lot pressure on the program to prevent people from just seeking out 'signing doctors'. [i.e., doctors who haven't actually been treating you, don't actually have familiarity with your case, and are only seen the one time to get a signature]
