| What does it mean when you eat something and the insides of your cheeks, like where the salivary glands are, hurt for like 6 or 7? Also, what does it mean when you haven't eaten in a while, and when you eat, the roof of your mouth starts feeling painful and chapped? Just what's going on there? |

| to 'Health and Medicine' Uh, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Can you give us some more details? Quote:
Maybe you should take it easy and try some soup or other soft foods. A trip to the dentist might not be a bad idea either. ![]()

I don't think it has anything to do with my teeth...it's my cheeks, and the skin on the roof of my mouth. | |

| if your talking about the wonderfuly yet slightly painful tingly feeling you get when you first eat something after not eating for awhile (A-1 steaksauce always does it)...i think that is when your salivary glands are being kicked into high gear to better prepare the stomach for the food with digestive saliva that explains it for me...if ur talkin bout somethin else i have no idea...as for the roof of your mouth hurting? could just be that its dry...?

| sometimes when i haven't eaten in a while, my jaw muscles will sting/burn but it almost feels good. i don't know how to explain it other than a sharp tingling sensation. but on the other hand, i've always wondered why i slobber like it's nobody's business after i smoke. i always thought my mouth should be dry...
