I'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but I didn't know where else to put it. I've been smoking for 10 years now, stoping for a few months or a year here and there, and for some reason, this just started, when I smoke I get a burning sensation in my chest. This has never happened to me before. The smoke isn't hot when I inhale it, I last used a 6' bong, so there is sufficiant time/room for the smoke to cool. Anyone have any ideas? I was hoping for some replies before I smoke again today.

i've used a 6-footer as well and the thing with those is you have to inhale it ALL as quickly as possible. this is because the smoke will eventually get stale if you leave it sitting there for too long while you take your time inhaling. stale smoke can be really harsh sometimes and make your lungs burn. but that's the only thing i can think of

That happens to me too, sometimes, only it's my throat that burns. I never cough, and I can take massive hits with the best of 'em, but like, occasionally my throat will start burning, and nothing will make it go away, water, more weed, a cigg, cough drop, nothing works. Except time.

You may have some minor upper respiratory infection irritating your bronchial tubes. Try taking much smaller hits than usual, and inhaling more fresh air with the smoke.

Anytime I smoke from a bong it rips my throat apart. It's funny though, joints just DON'T HAVE that effect on me. Doesn't stop me from hitting the bong...but, I know to expect it anyway.
