| Hi, I'm a relatively new marijuana smoker. I've probably been high a little over 15 times. I also suffer from depression. I am tired, so I'm going to try to make this short. But I just had some questions for you experienced and also newer smokers out there. Probably most of the 15 times that I have been high, I have noticed something interesting. While high, I feel pretty good, but the best part is the next couple days. The next couple days, my depression is lifted, and I have more energy. I feel happy, and life seems enjoyable. I get excited to do things that normal people are excited about. Does anybody know why? I've thought about alot of things. One thing I thought is marijuana increases melatonin by 4000% (well at least one study said that), and maybe it depeletes my stores the night I smoke it, so the next day or two I have more energy, cuz my depression is caused by too much melatonin. Or, another theory is that the thc sticks in your brain for awhile, so the next couple days it slowly releases, making me feel good. The reason I talk about this is because the way it makes me feel is better than any antidepressant I have taken. I'm curious if there is a way to get that effect more often. Is it possible that only a few of the numerous cannibinoids in the marijuana are the ones that stay in your brain or work the longest after you smoke? So, after the inital high, the other chemicals in marijuana are still kicking. These are the chemicals that are making me feel good. Is there a way to just extract the thc chemicals that make me feel undepressed? Has anyone experimented with extractions and things? Well, this is a bunch of stuff all at once, Time for bed Soar2thaclouds |

| I cant really explain why one feels happy and uplifted days after a smoke, but I sure as hell do enjoy it.
