Default Sleep Disorder

Hey Guys, I have problem. I have been a chronic user for about twenty five years and am trying to stop because of all the damn UA's I have to take for work, it's just not worth the hassle anymore and the anxiety of always having the fact that I could lose my livelyhood over weed. I have never considered myself an addict, but I physically can't sleep without it. Any suggestions?

Thanks

this is a common side effect of quiting. it should go a way pretty quickly. stop taking any caffine or other things that will keep you up or you can take some over the counter sleeping pills to help. if that does not work, talk to your doctor for something stronger.

High SpeedFreak, welcome to CheapTalk!
I'd recommend Melatonin.

yes u should look for some ethnobotanics
couple of websites ... www.erowid.org www.lycaeum.org
there are many plants beeing softly sedative (won't be tested for and if don't worry they are legal ... what doesn't mean that they are safe to use , but the ones i got in my mind are ...)
like you should stard with the very mildest herb you can find :
e.g. hops (humulus lupus ... it belongs to the cannabis family !)
e.g. johannis kraut
e.g. Baldrian (! soft but works)
there are couple of herbs beeing useful

always remember : Nature is Power !
better don't use (even if your doc advises you) sedative meds !
the worst thing to do is to use barbiturates ! (i supose they test for those too) ...
and as worse as using meds is using alcohol as treatment for unsleapnes ! One or a few beers would work fine , but they f... u up when u use them on purpose to self medicate ( almost as worse as drinking to forget ... kill pain ... and stuff ...)

another helpful adwise would be : Think of everything that makes u fit , active , awake (like monk mentioned) and quit it !
That sounds stupid (ok its also terror on your body) but think for example : After eating many calorines (?) people feel tired , cause their bodies need to burn that stuff and are bussy with that, so u become tired ... and what u do to loose that "extra wight" is to train it off ... what makes u tired as well .... u see u need to change couple of things ... but try out herbals ...
good luck !

when ive been smoking everyday for a week or so then stop i get the same thing. What I do is wake up at 5 am one day then by around 9 pm im amazingly tired and can get to sleep. It seems to set my sleeping patern back in order maybe thats just me. or maybe its just an effect of me staying up really late to smoke:P
