Hi. I'm new.

So I was talking to my friend last night, with whom I don't usually smoke, and he was telling me that there is THC throughout the plant, even in the charred crumbs. I don't usually hit that out of a pipe, as it tastes like ass, and because I've always been under the impression that a majority of the THC was on the outside anyway... on top of which, even if there were THC in the plant, it would have already been released by the time it was smoked to crumbs. Just to specify, I'm not talking about dust, but crumbs roughly half as big as pencil-tip erasers.

Is there a significant amount of THC in these crumbs? What percentage of the THC is on the outside?

In a beautiful, ideal, and perfect world... THC would be everywhere.

But in out world, Cannabinoids are in any of those little silver-white-orange crystals you see. There is also a significant inside the bud plant matter, so go ahead and smoke those little crumbs, unless you find a surplus of cash on hand, in which case throw it out.

There is also enough THC in the small leaves surrounding some buds, and most people would probably smoke them along with the bud. Some buds don't even come with these leaves.

unless the "crumbs" as you call them are charred white i'd probably smoke it....if you have enough crumbs (like a bowls worth maybe less if it was good shit) i'd think youd get high off it

thc is mostly in the crystals and resin and hairs on the out side of the plant but your friend is right thc runs through out the plant but in small amounts the buds are were its most concentrated but any givin part of the plant will have trace amounts of thc but to get high from a random part of tha plant you would have 2 smoke so much it wouldnt be worth it as far as those crumbs go get a screen for your pipe or bong and try smoking them....as long as they arent just ash all the way through then u can get high off them

n the thc is molecularly attached or something throughout the leaves, hairs, crystals... and a little on the stems but not really. thc are molecules not like particles on top of your bud or something

THC is found strictly in the trichromes of the cannabis plant. This is what trichromes look like, you can learn more about them by searching this site.

No THC in the actual hairs. Hairs is a sign of maturity. Most plants with a lot of hairs will have more THC on average, but there's no actual THC in them.

Back in the 60s, we didn't know from buds. The weed we usually got was hard-bricked Mexican. It looked like they hung the plants to dry and then put everything but the large stems into the bricking machine. We were smoking mostly leaves and managed to get quite high on them. It took a lot more joints to get us there than if we'd been smoking bud.

You'd get an oz for $15, but half of it was seeds.
