Ok, i have been friends with X for about 16 years now, we hang together all the time.
When we were about 14 or 15 (were 20 now) we were at the mall after smoking a fat joint. Now we were both really ****ed up, like i couldnt really hear anything and whenever peopel were talking to me i got kinda freaked. My friend was also really ****ed up too. As we were walking out of the food court we stopped to talk with some people, and i hear X go 'If i fall will you catch me?' and i turn around and she fell onto some guys lap, then onto the ground, and started to like shake and stuff.
Well i just wanted to get the f*ck out of the mall so i was like c'mon man, we got to go, and i helped her up and we went and sat outside. She felt really idzzy when we were outside but eventually felt better.
Then, a few years later we were at a party at a friends house on some off topics. We smoked a few bowls out of this hookah and after that we were on our way downstairs, well she sat down on the stairs and everyone just past her and went downstairs, but i stopped and turned around to make sure she was ok. Well she was sitting there completely white, blue lips , glazed eyes and she didnt answer me at all. While i was watching her she started to shake still sitting up, then she started to gag, but not throw up, and then she fell on to the floor and started to kinda twitch out.
I was freaking out (since then i still havent been able to take that kind of trip) but we carried her to a bed and lied her down and she was ok, just really shaky and dizy, but she didnt remeber anything she had done.
Now the last example was the harshest, but this has happened to her about 6 times since then (once at the front of the beer line at a tragically hip concert ).
She can feel it coming on (she gets a headache and needs to sit down) and it will stop if she is able to sit down and relax.
Only once she was on off topic drugs, so i know that that cant be it.
It happened last weekend when we were drinking, but that was the only time that if ever happened when we were drinking. It usually just happens when its only weed.
I know its not something wrong with the weed (laced) cuz i smoked it too.
If anyone here has any insight as to what is happening i would relaly appreciate it. I just need some other opinions cuz it gets me really worried sometimes.

Yes, it only happens when she is high.
Couple times it happened when she was hungover. But the majority was just out of no where. Once we were at the grocery store, once touring a friends new house. *shrug*

seizures can be very dangerous. I naver thought I'd say thiis, but maybe she shouldn't smoke untiil she gets this checked out by her doctor. It could be anything from epilepsy to a sign of something worse. The reason her color changes could be that she stops breathing during the seizure (which is common during seizure). Seizure, ya. I know people who've had them at that's it.

Send her to a doctor man, it could be caused by something serious like a brain tumour or something. Or it could be something little. Either way get it checked out.

If she does that again, roll her on her side if she lays down, or she might choke on her tongue.

She needs to see a doctor ASAP--- she donesnt need to mention the illegal drug use if she's relaly freaked out about that but siezures that start at her age can be inidicative of brain tumor activitya nd she does not want to delay the diagnosis if thats it-- I really think she ought to be absolutely honest with the Doc re: drug use though--- Siezures can be serious stuff-

The choking on the tongue bit is a myth, just put her in a realxed position, head on the side is helpful to keep droll from accumulating in her throat and causing hacking etc. but no way is she gonna swallow her tongue

To add a bit to S2's post:

You can not "swallow" your tongue, but sometimes it will obstruct the airway during seizure. If the person is on their back, then a simple "jaw thrust" will open the airway. To do this, simply push (or pull) the jaw bone upward gently. Do not insert your fingers into the mouth. This would be a good way to get bit.

Ya, don't stick you fingers in the mouth. Just roll her on her side.

The tongue or the muck could get in the throat.

It is a very simple test that they do to see if you have any epileptic disorders. They put a cool looking cap with some electrical conductors on your skull, and flash bright lights at you (This is called an Electro-Encephalogram, or EEG)
Seizures are interesting in the fact that for some people, different types of medication induces seizures rather than reduces them. Pot has seemed to eliminate mine (complex partial seizures, I've never had a grand mal where you shake on the ground) but I could definately see it causing them in others.
I had a friend in highschool die due to a brain hemorrhage when she had a grand mal seizure, so please have your friend go see a doctor.

Im not sure if she is having a full out seizure. Ive seen someone have a full out seizure and it was much more sever than i have seen her do. She more just shivers or something. But i know that this is serious too.
I dont think that i could convince her to go to the doctor, but i will definatley encourage her to. thankfully my work requires that im trained in cpr and first aid, plus recertification every few years (they pay for it), so i would know what to do if she did have a seizure.
Usually its just her getting really pale, sweaty and kinda distant, if she can sit down it passes, usually within 10 mins.
It still scares me though, and im going to try to get her to see a dr. just tell her its better she do it now and be safe, hopefully that will make her think about it.
I think she just pushes it out of her mind and kinda ignores it.
