hey everyone im new to these forums....i have a question about smoking marijuana with a sore throat. do u think that is a good idea or do u think it will just make my throat even worse?

Well...I have a hard time saying it is a good thing to smoke anything when you have a sore throat...However....(this is not advice...just my personal experiance) I ended up w/ pneumonia last year...I almost ended up in the hospital it was soo bad. In any case...the whole time...I stopped smoking cigarettes...but I smoked weed the whole time I was on the meds, and and recovered just fine! Never had a problem....and never stopped smoking! But everyone's different! Just let us know how things turn out! Hopefully you feel better soon!

I think it will make your throat worse. It certainly isn't going to help. Just hold off until it passes, then you'll be back to normal.

It really depends like which type of sore throat you have, or if the sore throat is part of another illness. I would HATE smoking with strep...

But bronchitis...the smoke doesn't hurt so bad, and it makes the rest of you feel a little better, so it's worth it to me...

i've had a soar throat all day until i smoke a joint

so in my personal experence its good to smoke with a soar throat as long as you dont cough (and dont if you have strep or some other illnes cause you could get your friends sick and smoking in general slows the healing process)

Try mixing some peppermint leaves into your joint. That'll soothe it nicely...

im just guessing but if u have a soar throat then smoke weed could it not irritate it more if you had a coughing fit or somthing i think i would not smoke

so here's the thing, i woke up this morning barely able to swallow my throat was hurting so bad. I've been groggy all day fever on and off, had the shits constantly, some gnarly gasses, but ive been ripping bowls all day. i cant sleep at night from constantly sweating, but weed knocks me out. I wish i had this shit for all the times i couldnt sleep because i was sick as a kid. I don't have a cough and weed never makes me cough, so that being said, i would also like to add that the amount of weed your smoking is like a 100 times less than an average tobacco smoker might smoke in a day while he/she is sick. If you're worried about the healing process then just drink a lot of orange juice and you'll be fine.

I just use a bubbler and my throat feels just fine, possibly put some ice in it.

I LOVE using mint/peppermint as a mixer. My friend always used tobacco, untill I gave him some mint leaves, now all we ever smoke is mint mixed marijuana.
