| THC is one of many.. it mostly provides the "fun" part of the high (memory loss, euphoria, etc..) rather than the more therapeutic effects.. These are done by the 62 some odd other cannabinoids and cannabinols.. or CBD and CBN.. These are also psychoactive but provide the more 'body' high buzz that helps for the nausia, appetite, and such.. They occur naturally in marijuana (more so in Indica strains than Sativa), and you can also get THC to convert to them by cureing your pot for extra long periods of time. Hope that helps..

| Cannabidiol, when administered by itself, isn't psychoactive in humans (at least the doses we use, or maybe just in general). But it is thought that when cannabidiol is used in combination with THC, it can increase your high.

| As mentioned, both tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) have medicinal benefits. |

It has alos been shown to have analgesic (pain releiving) properties and some recent studies find that it is effective on both the paralysis and tremor symptoms of Parkinsons disease and MS. In addition, thC has been found to limit the damage casued by oxidation following stroke and other brain injury in which oxidation causes nerve cell death. So in fact thC protects brain cells -- as opposed to "pot killing brain cells". But thC is only one of many canabinoids (chemicals found in marijuana a/k/a cannabis) that are found in no other plant on earth. As mentioned already Cannabinidiod CBD and cannabiniol CBN have also been isolated anad CBD in particular, found in abundance in over-ripe flowering heads of the plant have been used for thousands years to treat arthritis. It has recently been discovered that it is one of theonly substances that can relieve the inflamation due to rheumatoid arthritis! So there are many uses for many chemcials found in cannabis. Do a search on Yahoo for cannabinoid and CBN or CBD and you will see more information -- the kind that doesn't often show up in D.A.R.E classes ![]() Thanks for the question and if we can be more help, let us know! ...have a cookie ![]() Hugz, Mama Budz | ||
