lets say I get a doctor in my home state to prescribe me medical mojo. but my state has reform laws, can I take that prescription to another state or do I have to go through the two yrs of dr's and tests to hopefully get the same prescription? huh.

Obviously too hard of a question for the stoned community, let's rephrase it a little for you. CAN I TAKE MY PRESCRIPTION ACROSS A BORDER TO HAVE IT FILLED?

Does your state actually 'prescribe' medical marijuana? It seems to be a common misconception that being a medical marijuana participant rates a prescription for marijuana - and at least in Oregon that is not in any way true. It's really just a permission slip to grow, use, and possess a specified amount.

...my buddy just got his card. 300 bucks...150 to the state and 150 to the doctor allows him to grow 7 plants. But since he's also a caregiver, he can grow 14. He can also posess as much as he 'needs' whenever he wants!

I think there are places in the big city that can service those with cards (actually you get a card for your wallet, and a nice big certificate for your grow-room!) with weed at times, but it's not like you can call your local druggist to get it.

And as far as borders go...I'm pretty sure the cards are only good in the states they're issued.
