I can see a doctor leaning towards giving a patient a medpot card but through an independent review by a neutral group of doctors, he would be advised to recommend another course of treatment. Example: A patient complains of sleep related problems and wants an MMJ card. The primary doctor then sends his request to this MMJ governing body. They review the case and send the request back with other treatment options. If those fail, then the board might consider granting an MMJ card.

I'm sorry, are you saying that calling another doctor for a consultation is the same thing as reporting their prescriptions to a government-backed medical advisory board?

I disagree.

The system as it is now is broken and its riddled with fraud. How do you recommend getting rid of the quacks that sell MMJ cards for everything? All they want is the $200.00 and don't give a shit about the patient.

The system is equally broken for all prescriptions.

Why single out marijuana? If a patient needs Valium, Vicoden or Morphine why not have a board for them too?

The DEA tracks prescriptions of narcotics. Doctors who over prescribe risk losing their ability to prescribe. There is no such enforcement ability because MMJ can't be prescribed, only recommended.
So whats your solution to the rampant fraud thats taking place in the California MMJ situation?

No, just understanding the politics of marijuana and the Everest sized hill needed to be climbed in order to legalize MJ. It will be legal right around the time cold fusion is perfected.

We have cold fusion, we just don't have any cold fusion that's worth doing.

The Legalization of Marijuana will happen when the people ask for it.
