| Hey guys, I feel like this must have been asked before but I couldn't find it using the search... Ive been smoking for awhile now, maybe half a year, but I have come to be a huge enthusiast and do so several times a day. This was all great until I started to get a resistance, which over time has kind of taken my highs away. So the problem is I don't really get very high anymore no matter what amount I smoke. I still get relaxed and a more analytical mind, but I no longer experience any of the more intense aspects that I used to. As I have heard others put it, smoking just kind of makes me tired now. So what I'm asking is how I can make smoking what it used to be again. Obviously I'll probably have to stop for awhile to regain my sensitivity, I guess I'm just looking for other experienced smokers who have gone through the same thing and know about how long I should be waiting before I start again, because I have no idea. Thanks! ![]() |

| The best thing you can do is chill out on smoking for a few weeks. Try drinking a lot of water to flush out the high concentrations of THC in your system. Give it two or three weeks and you should notice a drastic improvement. Hope that helped! |

The only way to get really high again is to take a break. Its all up to you really. If you want a full effect take a month off, if you just want to feel a normal high, take a few days or a week off. However long of a break you take, your tolerance will go back up when you start smoking a few times a day again so learn to pace yourself and know when to call it quits. I used to notice tolerance alot more when i was smoking pretty bad weed, and once i started to smoke good weed all the time, i noticed it alot less. If you can afford it, (or can find better weed at the same price) try improving the quality of your weed too. Last edited by steakii : 01-25-2008 at 04:25 PM. | |

| I take a three day break every month. I have to. If I don't I destroy my lungs, I destroy my buzz and it's not "getting high" it's smoking like cigarettes, and that's just a waste...... ![]() Some Where In Ded Land...............

| Wow what makes you think you're better than everyone else just because you take a 3 day break every month? You do realize that you smoke continously for the next 27 days right? |

| Less is more. The more you smoke, the higher your tolerance, and the harder it is to get high. If you smoke a reasonable amount once a day, your tolerance won't get to be too high. If you smoke a lot and more frequently, there's no way to avoid it. I used to hang out with some dealers who chain-smoked fatties rolled from high-end sinse. They barely got high at all. I'd take three hits off one of their joints and be incapacitated for two hours.

| One more question, is it the detoxification process which is beneficial for me here, or simply giving my brain a break from the process? I ask because my best friend, who is trying to achieve the same thing as me, told me that getting one of those detox kits can act as the "reset" we are looking for, but I'm a bit unsure. Either way I don't think I wanna drop a ton of cash on one! |
