Default Sinus/Breathing problems when stoned

Reading PepSmokeUOut's post about breathing exercises & toking reminded me of a question I been meaning to pose to the group... This happens probably better than half the time when I'm really stoned, and I find it happens most if I've been smoking very high quality bud (high qual even for Canada that is) that isn't too dry or old...

Basically what happens is it feels sort of like the sinus passages or whatever they're called that connect from like the roof of your mouth into your nostrils are really really wide or something, like it will feel like there's a huge hole almost in the roof of my mouth that leads directly out my nose... It's super trippy, but since I get the same feeling a lot, I'm thinking that maybe there's some explanation for it, and it's not just me being a wacked-out stoner! Anyone else experience anything similar to this ever? It's not like it's an issue or a problem or anything (subj. may have been a little misleading that way) it's just sort of, i dunno, different... I don't actually have problems breathing, it just feels, like I said, different when I do...

Default Just ramblin, I don't think this is right but...

Since THC acts as a lung..something...dilator, it opens up the lungs and allows phlegm and other nasty things to come out, maybe it has the same effect on the sinus and nasal passages, opening them up...

<~~~~~>

I know the feeling, I don't get it when baked though, I get it just out of nowhere.

THC is a bronchial dilator, meaning it opens up the air passages in your lungs, and possibly whatever you're describing as well.

Hmmm. You beat me to it beats. You're quick. Too quick.

Bronchial! That's the word.

I'm kinda out of it right now, but at least I remembered the information about it, just not the technical words.

Edit: Quick like a fox

Maybe you're just smoking too much weed? When I do that I feel like things are crawling up my throat, and my nose goes numb... this may sound a little weird, but the first time I smoked hash my ass felt totally numb! I sat down on a ledge and a small rock fell off, I sketched out and thought that it was a terd.

The only breathing problem that I've ever experienced when smoking weed is forgetting to breath. Or maybe I am still breathing. I just totally forget that we breath involuntary, so when I notice it I convince myself that I HAVE to remember to breath or else I'll pass out or something. Yeah, I try not to smoke tons of weed so that doesn't happen. lol
