| alrite well this story happened to me a while ago but I just thought of it and kinda want to know what happened. Well it was about 8 at night and I just got done smoking a blunt and went to sit on the couch and watch TV. I was with my brother and my brothers friend just relaxing enjoying my high. Well I started to get this weird feeling I cant explain it and its gonna sound like im crazy or something but its like I was inside me own head and it felt kinda like I was free-falling and so I kinda just went with it. Well all of the sudden BOOM without exageration everything went white and my ears were ringing. When my sight started to clear up and my ears stoped ringing I got up and went to go lye down where I proceeded to have the worst night of my life. I was having the weirdest feelings like my brain was pulsating and I was hearing weird noises there was a bunch of other stuff that was going on but I cant really remember. I was sweating ALOT. I was trying to calm myself down because I truly belived that I was going to die. I told myself it was ok and atleast I could still breath and as soon as I thought of that I lost my breath and could hardly breath. My heart rate was VERY fast and it felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. This is when I walked out of my room and told my brother to take me to the hospital. He told me I was fine and told me a story of when he thought he was about to die and was screaming for people to take him to the hospital. He was able to calm me down a little and this is when I went to the sink and splashed some water on my face. To my suprise I felt 100% better (for about a minute) but then everything went back to the way it was. I kept telling myself that If I wake up ok I was never going to smoke again. Well I dont remember but somehow I was able to fall asleep and woke up the next morning completly normal. Needless to say I did not stop smoking and for a few weeks after that experience after I got done smoking I would think about that night and the feeling of not being able to breath and my chest would start to tighten up and I would freak out because I thought it was going to happen again but I stayed calm and my normal breath returned. Anyway sorry for such a long post but does anybody know what might have happened to me. Oh and there was nothing laced in the weed because I had smoked it before and I trust who I get it from. |

| Sounds like a panic attack to me. Search the site for the term "panic attack" and youi'll find many stories quite similiar to your own

| You had a panic attack induced by shallow breathing. When you smoke, your heart rate increases and your breath becomes shallow. Practice deep breathing. Lay on your back, close your eyes and place one hand on your stomach, and one hand on your chest. Your stomach should be rising with each" in "breath while the chest stays down. If its in the reverse, where your chest is rising first, you are shallow breathing. it takes some practice, but you should be deep breathing in no time. The mind is a very powerful tool, the same power that caused the wave of panic can also be used to stave it off and eventually never experience the feeling again. You'll be Ok |
