hey all you knowledgeable folk, i am strongly considering getting a medicinal marijuana license but im still on my parents medical insurance and i was wondering if it was on the bill? (ive never looked at a medical bill, and it should be noted that i would highly prefer it that they didnt know about my medication)

if you have chronic pain so bad that you require a medical marijuana card, then why go behind your parents back in the first place? have you tried all other forms of treatment? i'm sorry to assume things, but it really sounds to me like you are simply trying to get a medpot card just so you can have 'legal weed,' ergo, your parents have no clue.

and even if they don't know about it and your reason for needing the medical marijuana is 100% legit, it's kind of shitty to use the insurance that THEY are paying for so that YOU will be healthy behind their backs... JMO.

If the doctor charges for an examination to get a medical marijuana recommendation, it would certainly show up on the bill. I can't think of a single reason that it wouldn't.

I you have a legitimate need for medical marijuana for chronic pain, why don't you want your parents to know about it? If you are a minor, you can't get a recommendation without your parents knowledge.

If you're not 18, even the quacks won't give you a card.

I'm very interested in getting a cannabis prescription too. The only thing I'm worried about is schools or companies that I might work for in the future might be less inclined to hire or accept me with a medical cannabis prescription. Will this prescription be on my medical record? Or any type of personal record?

Recent court rulings have pretty much said that employers could test and fire MMJ users. There are certain jobs that, I believe. should not be done under any form of mental impairment. I believe thats what drove the court rulings in that direction.
On a lighter note.....I've got itchy skin. Do you think I can get a medical marijuana card also?

Don't take my opinion as fact here, but I would be highly doubtful that any respectful university would do that. Unless your trying to go to Bob Jones University or somethin I think you'll be alright.

i don't see why any university would be privy to your medical records aside from the vaccinations many universities require before you start going there. i wouldn't expect for them to support your medical marijuana usage if you're living in university housing, however, but they can't really say anything if you medicate and keep the weed and paraphernalia off-campus.
